It is sad and indicative of the age that these things have to be reiterated. I think the audience here is not the non-Christian population but to Christians themselves. Many of them in the evangelical community have gotten drunk on the “love” part of Christ's message while basically giving in to accepting the rot of same sex marriage and activity. Other words many are becoming products of the age, like pacifism infected the Christian Church in the 60s, rather than products of the truth.

Less harmfully we see this in attitudes on the environment. The command to have dominion over the earth has been twisted and turned into a “Christian” doctrine on environmentalism. More harmfully the example of Paul's church has been seen as a justification for socialism. And under the guise of “loving the sinner” homosexuality is being tolerated.

I looked it up at an acronym dictionary site and in its many options, it did not list ECT as "Eternal Conscious Torment."
