My family tree was firmly planted in Kentucky, a “border state” at the time where it was brother against brother literally. Consequently, I had ancestors on both sides. Like everyone else via public education we only heard one side of the story. In recent years I revisited the subject and came to different conclusions. If democrats/antifa types are against something that should be your clue as to what to be for. We are not fighting the war of 1861 but of 2017.Totally different reasons. And I’ve been saying that for decades to Yankee defenders, as it has been plain for decades that the left is ALL pro-Lincoln and rah-rah USA when it comes to the “Civil War”. (While ANTI-USA everywhere else, just turning 1 year from the war they will berate the US position.)
