OMG!!! Earlier generations were sooooooo deprived!!! There were no German American Studies, Jewish American Studies, Dutch American Studies, Greek American Studies, Italian American Studies, French American Studies, Polish American Studies, Irish American Studies, Hungarian American Studies, Spanish American Studies, Cuban American Studies, ect., ect, ect., yet the nation, representing all of THAT produced what has been called “the greatest generation” heading into WWII ???

Actually, what was most objectionable in Tuscon was NOT as much the “title” Mexican American Studies as it was the content with heavy Marxist and La Raza influences.
And, what about us Scots? The English really did a number on us with their bloody Highland Clearances, breaking up our clans, throwing us off our crofts, taking our lands!
We must have Scots-American studies, so we can claim reparations from the dastardly English!

La Raza recently changed its name to UnidosUS. They got some light shed on their activities so are hiding under a new name I guess.

It means united US. The funny thing is their members don’t get the name change and they are having an internal squabble about it right now.

As far as the class goes; it should not be a mandatory class IMHO. Only an elected class with just one credit; no more than that. It isn’t something that makes for a good American or an educated American since it’s nothing more, as we both know, than propaganda and indoctrination.
I don’t think it should be allowed at all but if they insist and can get away with it... It would be like requiring all public school students to take Spanish in school instead of the option to take French. Heck; do they even teach French in school anymore? I’m pushing retirement age and have zero kids so I have no idea what they teach these days.
And yet whites will run around in circles. Don’t want to be ‘racist’.
Blame the social justice jihad against all that is good and decent on the 17th Amendment.
First, state legislature appointed senators wouldn’t consent to anti-10th amendment judicial nominees to the federal bench.
Second, should judges ‘mature’ over time and turn Leftist, they’d be impeached in a flash.
Repeal the 17th to restore the 10th.
