Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) disagrees with President Trump's decision to pardon former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday.
"The speaker does not agree with the decision," Ryan's spokesman Doug Andres told The Wall Street Journal. "Law-enforcement officials have a special responsibility to respect the rights of everyone in the United States. We should not allow anyone to believe that responsibility is diminished by this pardon."

I wonder if these people bother to get informed. They don’t show evidence of it. Arpaio got in trouble for turning in illegals when he found them. If an officer stopped a car they asked for driver ID and occupant ID when called for.
That happens everywhere so far as I know, if there’s a reason for it.
If I’m an officer and the occupants start saying things I don’t understand, then my inclination is to protect myself first from a potential attack. I get their identities.
Ryan needs to be replaced along with McShame and McConnell and Collins and Lindsay and a couple more. We will never recover from the obama-pelosi-soroz damage until we get some better people in these jobs
Ryan is POed because the Congress has no authority over the Presidential pardons. The GOPe thinks they have Trump stymied - ha ha. Of course that is not a Ha ha for us because nothing is going to come out of this Congress and that includes funding for a fence. No repeal of Obamascare. No tax cut. The debt ceiling will be raised yet again, unless Trump can withstand the pressure and veto that bill when it reaches his desk on Sep 30, 2017 at 11pm ET. The broken congress is sooooo rpredictable when it comes to the Nation’s finances. I would think the veto could be overridden given the makeup of this Congress. No infrastructure bill unless he agrees to give the RATs TRILLIONS for included social goodies (I am fine with that one).
Did Ryan come out against obama pardoning multiple terrorrists, taking them out of jail and sending them back to the Mideast?
Did Ryan as much as ask whether we (meaning this taxpayer) paid for their transportation?
No.
He did not
Ryan does not work for us. I don’t know who he works for but it is not us.
1. He was primaried last election and destroyed his opponent, who
2. I believe is going to try again anyway, and,
3. It doesn’t matter that you don’t live in Ohio since Ryan is from Wisconsin.
I detest him.
So what and who cares.
Ryan reminds me of that corporate weasel Burke in ALIENS (played perfectly by Paul Reiser).
Time for Trump to hold a mega rally in Ryans district.
The headline assumes Ryan is ever “with” the president.
The VERY SECOND President Trump looks impeachable, expect Paul Ryno to cheerlead it and twist arms to get a vote-for through.
If there is no identity the officer takes you to the jail to ascertain your identity.
John Doe is not the identity you want.
The application of the judge’s moronic decision could be assigned to an officer arresting a Mexican thirty feet inside the border. Why does this POS feel required to slam Trump?
Ryan, you disagree with the President tell him Do Not Tell the MSM! You guys are all acting like you have no clue how to have power! Get it together or look to be getting out!
Are we surpised that Jeb Bush and John McCain also opposed this pardon?
Ryan is from Wisconsin.
PRyno is running for POTUS?
Perhaps he should pass a budget for a change.
Did Ryan ever criticize Obama?
FUPR! You friggin’ quisling!
How about have Arpaio given Federal law enforcement authority and sent up to arrest Ryan for an accessory to something, anything. Oh well, nice fantasy.
