Fifteen years ago this month, on Jan. 20, 2001, his last day in office, Bill Clinton issued a pardon for international fugitive Marc Rich. It would become perhaps the most condemned official act of Clintons political career. A New York Times editorial called it a shocking abuse of presidential power. The usually Clinton-friendly New Republic noted it is often mentioned as Exhibit A of Clintonian sliminess.
...
Marc Rich was wanted for a list of charges going back decades. He had traded illegally with Americas enemies including Ayatollah Khomeinis Iran, where he bought about $200 million worth of oil while revolutionaries allied with Khomeini held 53 American hostages in 1979.
Rich made a large part of his wealth, approximately $2 billion between 1979 and 1994, selling oil to the apartheid regime in South Africa when it faced a UN embargo. He did deals with Khadafys Libya, Milosevics Yugoslavia, Kim Il Sungs North Korea, Communist dictatorships in Cuba and the Soviet Union itself. Little surprise that he was on the FBIs Ten Most Wanted List.
Facing prosecution by Rudy Giuliani in 1983, Rich fled to Switzerland and lived in exile.
What bothered so many was that Clintons clemency to Rich reeked of payoff. In the run-up to the presidential pardon, the financiers ex-wife Denise had donated $450,000 to the fledgling Clinton Library and over $1 million to Democratic campaigns in the Clinton era.
Judge Abner Mikva, a counsel in the Clinton White House and mentor to President Obama, noted that even Obama was very, very dismayed by the Marc Rich pardon and the basis on which it appears to have been granted.
But does the story end there? Is it possible the payoffs continued after he left office?

I wonder what else Denise gave Bill that we don’t know about?
In spite of being “very, very dismayed” mullah Baraq still made Eric Holder, who greased the pardon for Rich, his AG.
Also no mention that boner bill was almost certainly ploughing Denise Rich....
I believe it one point Bill Clinton was also having sex on a regular basis with the wife of Mark rich.
These were among the greatest Investments of all time. The beneficiaries in these scandals gave 1/2 - 1% of what they profited to the Clinton foundation and to the clintons in various forms.
Hillary Clinton:.... ‘My Skin Crawled’ at the Sight of Donald Trump During the Campaign.....
Well that’s how your husbands rape victims felt!.....old hag has no room to talk about what or not gives her the creeps.
Got any pictures of her molting?
I’d bet money wasn’t all she donated to Horny Bill.
Gotta use your imagination.
A Lewinsky, I’ll bet. Or several.
The Rich gets richer.
Wow. Denise Rich has some prominent features. I wonder if Bill noticed such details???? I wonder lots of things.............can’t say some of them here............
I don’t get these last minute presidential pardons. If they are so intent about pardoning someone, why do it in the middle of the night? Why not do it in the light of day? Why did Bill Clinton wait until literally his last hours in office to do this, if it was such a good idea to pardon Marc Rich? Why not do it his first day in office, why not do it during his reelection campaign, if he was convinced it was the right thing to do?
Because he knew everyone would find it objectionable -- and wanted to make sure that he got away with it.
The “most condemned” official action by Clinton as President...since the mainstream media did not consider his perjury or obstruction of justice deserving of criticism. Some of his other crimes might be considered private or not related to his official duties, or might be attributed to Hillary (like Filegate or the murder of Vince Foster). Misuse of the US military to try to distract from his political problems (like the bombing of Iraq when the House was about to vote on impeachment)...well, anything designed to thwart the Republicans will be OK with the media.
