THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK
GEORGE GERSHWIN
THE GOLDWYN FOLLIES
BING CROSBY: LOVE WALKED INIn the Twenties when he worked with Paul Whiteman and Bix Beiderbecke, Bing was a hard drinking badass and a brawler. He moderated his style in the Thirties when he became Americas top baritone crooner. Surprisingly, he recorded very little Gershwin over the years in spite of Whitemans close association with the composer. This is Bings take on the song from 1947, and its a straightforward ballad.
