Sebastian Gorka is resigning his post as Deputy Assistant to President Trump, multiple sources familiar with the situation have told The Federalist.
In a blunt resignation letter, the national security and counterterrorism expert expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the Trump administration. [G]iven recent events, it is clear to me that forces that do not support the MAGA promise are for now ascendant within the White House, Gorka wrote. As a result, the best and most effective way I can support you, Mr. President, is from outside the Peoples House.
Gorkas letter expressed unhappiness with the direction the Trump administrations foreign policy has taken, as signaled by the presidents recent speech on Afghanistan:
Regrettably, outside of yourself, the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will Make America Great Again, have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months. This was made patently obvious as I read the text of your speech on Afghanistan this week
The fact that those who drafted and approved the speech removed any mention of Radical Islam or radical Islamic terrorism proves that a crucial element of your presidential campaign has been lost
Just as worrying, when discussing our future actions in the region, the speech listed operational objectives without ever defining the strategic victory conditions we are fighting for. This omission should seriously disturb any national security professional, and any American who is unsatisfied with the last 16 years of disastrous policy decisions which have led to thousands of Americans killed and trillions of taxpayer dollars spent in ways that have not brought security or victory.
During his time in the Trump administration, Gorka focused on issues such as countering the Muslim Brotherhood, the crisis in Qatar, drafting a new long-term national security strategy, and combatting Chinas economic warfare. Before coming to the White House, Gorka was an editor for national security affairs for Breitbart News, where he worked with Steve Bannon, who also recently departed the administration.
Gorkas tenure at the White House was marked by unusually vociferous attacks against him and his family by left-leaning media organizations and the Democratic Party. This includes personal attacks against his wife, mother, and son.
A source close to the White House said of his decision, This was more or less going to be a done deal when Bannon submitted his resignation. Not because he didnt have a protector, but because there is no point in having your life ruined every day if youre not going to get much accomplished. The same source said that what did change after Bannon left was that anti-Bannon factions began erecting bureaucratic road blocks to undermine Gorka internally.
The Forward has written dozens of attack pieces against Gorka, including several attempting to align him with Nazism. Most recently that publication retracted a story about his sons schoolwork. Gorka strenuously objected to allegations he had ties to Nazi groups in his familys home country of Hungary, where he had previously been involved in national politics. Even detractors eventually acknowledged the Nazi accusations were unfair smears.
In his letter, Gorka made clear that he believes in the promise of the Trump presidency despite being concerned about its present direction.
Your presidency will prove to be one of the most significant events in modern American politics. November the 8th was the result of decades during which the political and media elites felt that they knew better than the people who elect them into office. They do not, and the MAGA platform allowed their voices to be heard, he wrote, adding, Millions of people believe in, and have chosen, you and your vision of Making America Great Again. They will help eventually rebalance this temporary reality.

And my words, that you quoted, ARE what people have been saying for even long before I was born.
Let me help you. Likely 50% of pearl clutchers could also be defined as political posers, frauds, trolls, impostors, deceivers, with a good percentage of the naive mixed in to all that.
In a week when they get Trump doing something they agree with, they will forget this guy ever existed, or will just attribute the decision to (insert name here).>>> no for me i see it as allies that he needs to help (Trump) do his job. he cannot do anything (in government) on his own. the people who maybe are nobodies (bannon, gorka, et all) but seem to have the same philosophy as Trump ran and campaigned on seem to now be outed by establishment pols and spooks. that is entirely my observation.
...” I suspect that there is more to it than that”....
Exactly and smart you’re thinking so...’what we do know’... is the administration is changing....what it will prove to be remains to be seen.
Everythings going through Kelly now.....so that does cause questions....doesn’t it.
I understand the Cruzbot thing.
I was referring to people who have legitimate concerns about Gorka leaving, the President being surrounded by Swamp creatures, etc being called Pearl Clutchers or Concern Trolls.
To run a government you must have many people, all working for the same goal as the leader.
The fact is we have lost too many people who think as the POTUS does, and in their place, are people who think and work at cross purposes to the POTUS.
We, his base, are alarmed. >>> well said i tried the same response.
Really? Screw that BS. I am getting the exact opposite. Most of my friends say the Trump is the last hope of a peaceful USA going forward. He is a once in a 100 year political phenomenon. I doubt you actually believe in economic nationalism and are probably a neocon Bushite Republican. In other words a loser.
I can smell a Cruzer loser a mile away.
OTOH...this stinks on ice, is disappointing, discouraging, and disheartening; to say the least.
I can't wait for Monday night, to hear what Dr. Gorka has to say; though I bet he won't tell much of the factual truth either.
spooks won on day 67
Ive never been a fan of Trumps kids staying for very long.....but I understand why they are there.
But now with Trumps key people being outed by choice or otherwise ..am not comfortable about this.>>> just start praying bigly.. scott adams says the demolition always looks ugly. lets hope there is some rebuilding going on.
Oh...okay. :-)
Thanks for the reply.
>>Tillerson is an arsehole and obviously so is his little talk person.

Dr. Gorka asked Gen. Kelly for an appointment on Monday, to personally hand his resignation in to the President. Gen. Kelly refused and told him: “No, I’ll take it now.” (Fox)
Up til now I wasn’t sure how to view Gen. Kelly. If Fox reports are accurate, then he can jump into the Basket of Disappointments along with Tillerson, Javanka, and the rest of them.
I know it’s 100% DJT’s choice who he wants to have for his advisers and Secretaries. At the same time, we’re free to evaluate his choices. If he is not being controlled by the Shadow Gov’t, and is making these choices of his own free will, then a major reassessment is in order (personally, for me).
On a positive note, I LOVE Wilbur Ross! He’s doing a great job! And I love Sarah Huckabee Sanders! She’s doing a great job, too!
And, what has NEVER BEEN MENTIONED, AFAIK, Larry, is that ALL of the Flag/General officers currently serving are Flag/General officers promoted to their stars while the Establishment inflicted Ophonybama on us!!
Let me help you. Likely 50% of pearl clutchers could also be defined as political posers, frauds, trolls, impostors, deceivers, with a good percentage of the naive mixed in to all that.

No, let me help you.
People who express legitimate concerns which are recognized as such, are not pearl clutchers or concern trolls.
Am I a pearl clutcher because I am concerned about Gorka leaving?
“spooks won on day 67”
It was always a long shot...One man against a 4 trillion dollar corrupt stasi state, corrupt courts, corrupt media, and corrupt blue states.
My early criteria was that if we don’t see any of the O’muslim regime or Hillary cabal indicted within a year, the corrupt state will have won.
Look, Trump once was all that; however, the gilt is beginning to come off that lily.
Politics has been as mother's milk to me, since before I was capable of talking and walking, and ever afterwards. I'm NOT going to explain that to you; however, calling me stupid, meritless, uncalled for names, is foolish and quite puerile.
Do you feel better now, after that post? *snicker*
No you can’t; you are incapable of any sentient thought, at this point..if ever. LOL
You’re welcome.
