Sebastian Gorka is resigning his post as Deputy Assistant to President Trump, multiple sources familiar with the situation have told The Federalist.
In a blunt resignation letter, the national security and counterterrorism expert expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the Trump administration. [G]iven recent events, it is clear to me that forces that do not support the MAGA promise are for now ascendant within the White House, Gorka wrote. As a result, the best and most effective way I can support you, Mr. President, is from outside the Peoples House.
Gorkas letter expressed unhappiness with the direction the Trump administrations foreign policy has taken, as signaled by the presidents recent speech on Afghanistan:
Regrettably, outside of yourself, the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will Make America Great Again, have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months. This was made patently obvious as I read the text of your speech on Afghanistan this week
The fact that those who drafted and approved the speech removed any mention of Radical Islam or radical Islamic terrorism proves that a crucial element of your presidential campaign has been lost
Just as worrying, when discussing our future actions in the region, the speech listed operational objectives without ever defining the strategic victory conditions we are fighting for. This omission should seriously disturb any national security professional, and any American who is unsatisfied with the last 16 years of disastrous policy decisions which have led to thousands of Americans killed and trillions of taxpayer dollars spent in ways that have not brought security or victory.
During his time in the Trump administration, Gorka focused on issues such as countering the Muslim Brotherhood, the crisis in Qatar, drafting a new long-term national security strategy, and combatting Chinas economic warfare. Before coming to the White House, Gorka was an editor for national security affairs for Breitbart News, where he worked with Steve Bannon, who also recently departed the administration.
Gorkas tenure at the White House was marked by unusually vociferous attacks against him and his family by left-leaning media organizations and the Democratic Party. This includes personal attacks against his wife, mother, and son.
A source close to the White House said of his decision, This was more or less going to be a done deal when Bannon submitted his resignation. Not because he didnt have a protector, but because there is no point in having your life ruined every day if youre not going to get much accomplished. The same source said that what did change after Bannon left was that anti-Bannon factions began erecting bureaucratic road blocks to undermine Gorka internally.
The Forward has written dozens of attack pieces against Gorka, including several attempting to align him with Nazism. Most recently that publication retracted a story about his sons schoolwork. Gorka strenuously objected to allegations he had ties to Nazi groups in his familys home country of Hungary, where he had previously been involved in national politics. Even detractors eventually acknowledged the Nazi accusations were unfair smears.
In his letter, Gorka made clear that he believes in the promise of the Trump presidency despite being concerned about its present direction.
Your presidency will prove to be one of the most significant events in modern American politics. November the 8th was the result of decades during which the political and media elites felt that they knew better than the people who elect them into office. They do not, and the MAGA platform allowed their voices to be heard, he wrote, adding, Millions of people believe in, and have chosen, you and your vision of Making America Great Again. They will help eventually rebalance this temporary reality.

It would be a shame if Gorka and Bannon let the Afghanistan issue chase them out. But I suspect that there is more to it than that.
This is bad news.
The other day I was listening to a State Dept spokeperson giving her daily press update. Her name is Heather. She’s a cute and smart blonde. Someone asked her to comment on Gorka’s recent comment.
This Little Miss Perfect went out of her way to make sneering comments about Gorka, doing her best hatchet job on him. Deliberately refused to call him DOCTOR Gorka, referred to him as Mr. Gorka.
As I listened to her vent her disgust about Dr. Gorka, I remember thinking to myself...”Hmmmm, interesting. Let’s see how much weight this “little number” carries, if she is instrumental in ousting Dr. Gorka.
I haven’t listened to her since her Gorka-trashing words. Smug little piece of work, that Heather. Must be related to ....Dana Perrino, lol.
Trump is. Sorry if you think it is (insert assistant here), seeing that if it was, why the hell would they quit seeing that Trumps decisions arent hated by his base or by a great deal of the general public.
Let the hand-wringers wring!
Fool...........................
His base is NOW slipping; just read this thread.
I did. The pearl clutching chicken littles always gotta clutch and cluck. No worries. MAGA.
“I don’t trust Conway and NEVER have done.”
I don’t trust her, either. Have heard that she speaks very badly about PDJT behind the scenes.
Why do you think they caused this? Ivanka and Jarred?

The President’s big mistake was to bring privileged family into the WH who know nothing about mid-America. His boys seem to be OK, but Jared and Ivanka do not have a clue about the heartland.>>> they both hunt... bigly. ivanka hangs out with Chelsea whatshername.
Go ahead...stick with Ebonics.
> Trump will be removed before 2018 is over. <
Not that it means a whole lot, but the betting company Ladbrokes is posting even odds that Trump will not serve out his first term.>>>. what it really means is that elections don’t matter. we are no different than venezuela.
That Heather Nauert is a former Fox on air personality.
>>I dont trust Jared. Just look at his eyes.
Yes, I agree, and I rarely make a mistake when it comes to reading facial expressions. That guy is a snake if ever there was one.
“President Trump, what is happening to you?”
Obama-appointed liberal generals, that’s what’s happened to him. A bunch of Wesley Clarks.
What is it with the term pearl clutcher.
Overusedand makes absolutely no sense.
(I know what its meant to mean so explanation not necessary)
>>><<<
The people who use that term are either trolls from DU or elsewhere trying to foment discord or they are naïve.
Conway is a Bannonite. Has been for a while. Do you also not trust Bannon?
Am really wondering if Kelly and McMaster are shutting down down Trumps agenda?.....Military take over? Just doesn’t feel right what’s happening........
“not that theres anything wrong with that.”
It’s a joke from Seinfeld.
> >>The guy really does look gay - not that theres anything wrong with that.
Really? <
The line “not that theres anything wrong with that” is from a Seinfeld episode where a reporter thinks that Jerry is gay. Jerry strongly denies it. He then throws the above line in to be politically correct. It’s actually a gentle slap at the PC culture.
The line has since become something of an inside joke. As in, “My sister voted for Hillary. Not that theres anything wrong with that.”
That’s a gentle slap at the sister.
Trump is now, sadly, proving just WHY people have never wanted that much of an "outsider" to be president. But we all went for it, considering WHO all was running in the primary and what we had had to deal with the previous 8 years; not to mention Hillary!.
And IF Trump is indeed "negotiating" with the Shadow Government", which I doubt, he's a MORON! He won't get a damned thing he claimed he wanted anyway!
