Trump Oval Office vs Obama Oval Office – See Pics Here

After three weeks of renovations, the Trump Oval Office is complete and the last remnants of the Obama era have been removed. Gone are the striped wall paper and suede couches, replaced by more neutral solid walls and off-white jacquard couches.

Perhaps most notable are the addition of U.S. military flags that now surround the presidential desk. During the Obama years there were only two flags in the office of the Commander in Chief – none of them military. POTUS Trump has brought in several more stars and stripes than his predecessor, as well as flags representing each branch of the military.

Mr. Trump also had the Obama rug removed and in its place is the same rug used by President Ronald Reagan. The only thing the same is the Resolute Desk, first used by President John F. Kennedy and several presidents to follow.(Which Mr. Obama would sometimes put his feet on.)

Here is the Obama Oval Office: (Which many noted was perhaps the most “feminine” of Oval Offices and which Mr. Obama actually rarely used – except for prepared photo shoots. He favored a second-floor private study that was just down the hall from Valerie Jarrett’s office(s) )

I was just looking at that bust and wondering the same thing. I love the Remington bronze statue "Bronco Buster" on the right. It is surprising that Obama kept such a masculine statue in the Oval Office. Or maybe not.

Frederic Remington's " Bronco Buster."

Did the Clintons ever return all the furniture?

No, that’s not Churchill. I can’t tell who it is. Not Lincoln, either.

IMHO, President Trump’s version is much more inviting than nobama’s.

The Clintons claimed that they returned the furniture, but I have never seen an accounting. Certainly the number of trucks that went out dwarfed the number of trucks that came in...., as did the financial estimate. (What was returned was estimated to be much lower in value than what went out.)

In any case, Bill and Hill (who arrived from AR with NOTHING of their own) managed to furnish an expansive house in Chappaqua, a mansion in Georgetown, an apartment in Harlem, and another apartment in Little Rock with what they took from the Shite House, plus “gifts” from their “grafter” registry which included clothing, jewelry, etc., as well as furniture.

How does that work? Is that like the “Loaves and Fishes” in the Bible?

The desk, carpet and drapes were there on day one of President Trump's Administration. He could pick the drapes and rug from previous Presidents which is what usually happens.

The new wallpaper...is absolutely perfect and let's everything shine.

They both look horrible in my opinion.

The room itself it amazing, but all the furnishings, carpet, curtains, ect in BOTH administrations... is AWFUL!

I would send all that crap to goodwill.

They could have saved a whole lot of time had they listened to us Freepers who advised them to do this starting back in November (and even before!) Better late than never. Next let’s see what Soetero did to the underground basement operations below the White House that cost taxpayers millions.

I believe they were allowed to purchase several of the “stolen” items....since they would go into storage. So I guess the answer is no.
