Have you ever wanted to center yourself with some furry friends? That's what happened at Virginia Tech Thursday. Hundreds filled the lawn to stretch out and be joined by goats for some goat yoga.

"It was actually very calming. It was kind of crazy, one was trying to eat my backpack, it was a combination of being relaxed and having a good time," Blacksburg resident Emily Vanderbrink added.
And don't worry, they're planning to bring it back around other move-ins or maybe exam time.
Costs like $60K a year for this school...and I see they are really getting their money’s worth with goat yoga offered for FREE! Can’t beat that, can you?

My son goes there and it is nowhere near $60k a year. More like $15k. And it is an Ag school which is why they have goats.

My son attended Radford University although he was accepted at Tech (we live daily driving distance to both). Tech was more expensive than RU, and the same classes taught by the same adjuncts were offered both schools. Funny how that works.

OMG I’ve actually watched that movie with my husband one night. Was in the winter, we were bored to death stuck inside and it came on. All I remember is it was way, way weird.

Last year when Trump was elected, they had the “hug a puppy” thing going on at VA Tech as well for those who were “traumatized”. Those poor puppies :(

Radford has a bad reputation locally. Much of it has to do with the number of arrests from block parties that were eventually banned. But it is also considered a school of last resort by Blacksburg kids.
My son would have done better at Radford where there are fewer distractions but he was appalled by the idea. Right now, he is selling parking spaces at his house for move-in and has made about $300 from Virginia Tech parents so there is that.
