In a marathon interview with the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, the co-founder of Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm behind the uncorroborated anti-Trump dossier, refused to identify the political clients that commissioned the salacious document.
Fusion GPS also stands behind the dossier, a lawyer for the firm said at the end of a 10-hour interview given by co-founder Glenn Simpson.
Despite all the questions raised about the dossier, Levy, the lawyer for Simpson, says that Fusion GPS stands by the information in the document.
“Today, a special counsel and three congressional committees are investigating ties between the Russian government and the Trump campaign. Fusion GPS is proud of the work it has conducted and stands by it,” Levy said.
“This investigation into Mr. Simpson began as a desperate attempt by the Trump campaign and its allies to smear Fusion GPS because of its reported connection to the Trump dossier,” he added.

I thought you had to swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth when appearing before these congressional committees. Not so apparently.

It was supposed to be Bush/Clinton, they were the anointed ones. Handing off sponsorship from one Uniparty faction to another makes sense.
The Bush family has a history of dirty tricks.
A majority of the whole Senate has to find him in contempt, and even then there is no willingness to inflict punishment.
He’s likely under separate criminal investigation anyway, although it’s unclear that laws were broken.
Cue Troy Gowdy to hit the networks with word that the committee really doesn’t have any enforcement capabilities.

Closed session means they partied hardy while continuing their charade of investigation to the dupes known as the American people.

Grassley is to be commended for taking on this issue. The remaining 51 GOP senators apparently are more focused on collaborating with Democrats to block the president’s agenda.

That’s true. Maybe it is McCain. I would be surprised if it isn’t one of these two.
Comey is a fraud. He has the FBI relying on campaign claims rather than on their own investigation.
