If you get your political updates through ordinary channels MSM; local news; the major newspapers; and popular website newsies such as Yahoo, Facebook, and more recently Drudge you most likely feel that America is imploding, all due to the chaos of the Trump administration.
The goal is to wear you down, if not wear you out, until you agree that Trump must go.
The stakes rise with each new Trump achievement, commensurate with the rising decibel level of those who express outrage at whatever he says. That's what happens when your cherished assumptions are disproven day after day. It's comical and also understandable. No one likes to admit that he is wrong. Or that they are wrong on a regular basis. It's embarrassing and humiliating especially if you are touted as an expert journalist or commentator, at least by virtue of being on TV.

one of the all time great campaigners iv’e ever seen...after last night, the media is going ballistic..they know.
Record the local news...then fast-forward to the weather segment. That is what I do.
We turned briefly to CNN after the speech because I heard (via Reddit) that they were in absolute, total meltdown. It was true - while claiming Trump was deranged, had dementia, etc. they were the poster people for the same. The lack of professionalism and hysteria while they tried to be so serious about it, saying Trump said the exact opposite of what he actually said, also saying it was obvious Trump didn’t want to be President any more & was looking for an ‘out’ (what?????) was laughable but scary at the same time. To think that such unhinged, idiot pretenders to being purveyors of “news”, could actually be considered media & given air time ..... well, I felt like I was watching a sci fi horror flick starring Alt-Left Zombies with diseased brains hanging out of their skulls. It was worse than election night when Trump won & the media lost it. Trump is destroying them, “professionally” if there is such a thing where they’re concerned, and personally because they are so mentally warped. He should send them some complimentary straight jackets.
The part that really gets me about the anti-Trump collective is that so many appear to have outlets like Stephen Colbert as a primary source. A regular feature of their FB feed is a post about how Colbert had the ultimate jab at Trump last night. I don’t see how living in an echo chamber enhances their self-worth and image.
People who just mindlessly accept the media lies are simply lazy. They say they are too busy to find out the truth for themselves. They whine that they can’t trust media and then accept the outright hateful lies from the media. They want predigested pap in 5 second sound bites.
I suggest FR to a few who might be able to benefit, but they demand a guarantee that all posts are accurate. Since none of the MSM is accurate, that demand is dishonest. After the fact, these same people will ask me “How did you know that back then?” I tell them I do the work. They whine some more, even though they know I still work, have the same chores as they do and in some cases, am 20 years older.
They are sitting in garbage complaining of the smell when all they need to do is get up and walk away.
It takes a couple of hours a day in smaller increments of time. I haven’t had commercial TV for 9 years and I spent most of the 80s and part of the 90s without it, too, due to reception issues.
——their world view is held by so few ——
It must be kept firmly in mind that Hillary won the popular vote. The Senate is very nearly 50/50......evenly split. The margin for winning is very thin.
CNN knows that all of it’s viewers are within the lot that voted for Hillary. Their sales are dependent on viewers that are actually in the gross electoral majority.
Measured in acres or square miles, the blue zone is much smaller than the massive red zone. But, measured in people, the blue zone exceeds the red.
I certainly hope so!
I never watch national news any more.
With local news I keep one hand on the mute button—as soon as they start with the propaganda I hit the mute button. The second time I turn off the tv.
Many local newscasts can’t last a minute without violating my rule twice.
I always tell those who expect the truth from any source:
“You have no right to be told the truth. You have to earn the truth by working at finding it.”
I took a mini-dive into the past into the world of Max Headroom, mainly because I had a memory of beautiful Theora Jones — played by Amanda Pays — and wanted to see her again.
This led to a look at the Wikipedia article on Max, and to my surprise I found this paragraph:
In the future, an oligarchy of television networks rules the world. Even the government functions primarily as a puppet of the network executives, serving mainly to pass laws such as banning "off" switches on televisions that protect and consolidate the networks' power. Television technology has advanced to the point that viewers' physical movements and thoughts can be monitored through their television sets. Almost all non-television technology has been discontinued or destroyed. The only real check on the power of the networks is Edison Carter, a crusading investigative journalist who regularly exposes the unethical practices of his own employer, and the team of allies both inside and outside the system who assist him in getting his reports to air and protecting him from the forces that wish to silence or kill him.
“...more recently Drudge”. Finally people are seeing Drudge has slipped to the dark side. If you want to see how “dark” Drudge has become, first go to Drudge and read through it. Then go to THE LIBERTY DAILY at http://thelibertydaily.com and go through the “same news.” You will see better news, more if it and the slant is to the right and all in the format you are used to seeing. I’ve deleted my morning go-to bookmark of Drudge and changed it to the The Liberty Daily. My day starts off a lot more positive.
The MSM is not reporting the real news. They have become fixated on destroying Trump. The coverage of the recently concluded NAFTA negotiations, events in Syria and Iraq, the showdowns with NK and China, the major economic gains, etc. receive scarce or no coverage.
The MSM has become an echo chamber more concerned about defending itself than reporting substantive news. They are losing their connection to the people and relevance. In a word, they are obsessed.
>>and more recently Drudge <<
I thought it might have been just me who noticed this change beginning with his “Make America Hate Again” headline.
profound ...
DJT is tweaking their butts a bit, himself. He is consciously instigating the outrage to keep the attention of the MSM and the Democrats off what he is rally accomplishing. Virtual prestigitation is one of his instinctual talents.
Great article written by R. Stephen Bowden.
he he he no I get shotgun shells when I win.
the lib gets me to donate to humane society if hell freezes over
;)
“After the fact, these same people will ask me ‘How did you know that back then?’”
I hear ya. After Obama’s SECOND inauguration, my quilting friend asked, in disbelief, “Did you hear what his middle name is?”
I told her I had known that before he was even elected the first time. She saked me how I knew. I told her I pay attention to more important things than “Dancing With The Stars” (her personal favorite) - always.
How people can live in a state of oblivian all the time amazes me.
“It must be kept firmly in mind that Hillary won the popular vote.”
But not really. Look at all the Hillary votes they’ve PROVEN to be the result of cheating. Imagine how many more are illegitimate. No way in hell did she win the popular vote.
Yes, but the blue zone is contained by the Electoral College. The excess votes are wasted votes.
That's why I predict that we will see a revitalized push for the National Popular Vote interstate compact. This would let the excess votes in California and New York count in, say, Iowa, Rhode Island and Delaware.
Just a few weeks ago, even Matt Vespa at supposedly conservative Townhall.com was toying with the idea.
