What was done is no different than BLM protesting without a permit (which I too find to be unconstitutional) and then being arrested and fined for it. Don’t like the laws? They should be changed by through legislation. Just because it is our side does not make breaking the law a glamorous act.

It’s akin to killing your parent then crying to the public because you are now an orphan under prosecution

The "laws" you speak of were not being followed by the Federal government in this case. The grazing fees were being set by the Feds to a point well beyond the amount dictated by law. The Bundy's were contesting this in court when the Feds decided to take their cattle to force the issue. Bankruptcy does have a way of limiting your ability to continue pressing your case in court. The Bundy's neighbors stopped this theft of the Bundy's cattle and in the process made the federal gun thugs back down. This embarrassment is why this case and every case having to do with the Bundy's resistance to Federal overreach will be tried again and again until everyone is bankrupt or in jail or likely both.

Note to Federal gun thugs: In future operations, don't setup your command post without securing the high ground around it even if it is a hot day and you want to be in the shade. It really was an embarrassing day for them.

BWah-hahahahahahahahahaha.

When you get back in your time machine and go back to 1988, please take me. The things you believe about 2017 just aren’t happening.

Change the law...to benefit the people...that’s hilarious! In 2017, we have a Republican majority and they side with the Democrats more than they side with the Republican president!

I think you are missing some pertinent facts about cattle being stolen and buried in mass graves and family members being threatened at gun point for disputed fees on land. There is a good deal of material about Harry Reed wanting them off the land and using strong arm methods. Its a mess.

.
You’re deeply confused!

The surface rights to the land belong to the Bundy family.

The Fed Gov does not have legitimate ownership to any surface rights in any western range land, because it was already in private ownership when Guadalupe Hidalgo was signed.

That is the law of the land!

Protesting doesn’t require a permit sport. Maybe you can show us in the constitution where a permit is required for speech. Be careful with that... soon we will be the ones needing to protest. I do not agree that without a permit you must not protest.
