Now under Maduro we have a new prohibition, importing anything that protects against riot police such as gas masks, bullet proof vests, metal balls and marbles (could be used as projectiles), knives, sports padding gear, helmets, etc
But it goes even further: Banned first aid stuff:
Antacids, gauze, cream to treat burns, bandages, eye drops, bicarbonate, etc.

It’s even better than car insurance :-) no matter what, I will use it. Nothing will go to waste. I buy things that I normally use anyway. Or should I say, I have learned to use the things that I have bought. I love making bread with fresh ground wheat berries. The whole kitchen smells good.
Awesome. Don’t have a bread-maker but kinda wish I did.
Would like to have a gas BBQ but no cash. They were closing them out at WM. I’m probably too late but there are a few in low-traffic areas.
Their citizens are starving and begging, and the communists only worry about keeping power. Workers paradise my ass.
LOL I’m our bread maker. It’s kind of fun once you figure it out.
And guess what we got? A woodfired pizza oven! Not only can I make authentic Italian pizza now, but when everything collapses I just have to go out into the forest for fuel, and I have an oven for baking just about anything. Of course, we have burned everything we put into it so it’s going to take some learning :-)
ObamaCare, Venezuelan-style!
Hmmmm.. Maybe Sean Penn has some bandaids he can send them...
Maduro is a Catholic. He is doing the Lord’s work
Indeed, Chavez and Maduro were not imposed by aliens - they are Venezuelans, coming out of their own culture, supported for a long time by Venezuelans.
I’m finding it difficult to care. When everyone in society are collectivists and admires socialism, you may get very lucky and wind up like Canada, or most of the time, you wind up like Cuba, Venezuela or Zimbabwe.
why does Argentina bounce from among constant political and economic crisis? Because the country is filled with people like Jorge Mario Bergoglio.
.....sigh....yes Castro.
That’s the problem. If you have a predominantly native population, even despite their collectivist inclinations, they can one day say ‘enough!’ That’s why you have to import shiploads of immigrants, so if you get fed up with collectivism, you’ll just be called a xenophobic racist, and get beat down.
The lawyers can carry the ball bearings but no parachutes for them!
