I noticed that, too. Statistically, it's far more likely that she's Texas-born, and probably her parents were, too.

Statistically speaking, it is highly likely she is a Texas native anywhere in W/SW Texas-I’m a W Texas Latina-my ancestors came to that wilderness in the late 1700’s-they had plenty of company on the trip-and neighbors who’d left Mexico and were already living near that newly acquired land-Texas started getting Latino settlers as soon as people got sick of the Spanish government in Mexico...
