Statistically speaking, it is highly likely she is a Texas native anywhere in W/SW Texas-I’m a W Texas Latina-my ancestors came to that wilderness in the late 1700’s-they had plenty of company on the trip-and neighbors who’d left Mexico and were already living near that newly acquired land-Texas started getting Latino settlers as soon as people got sick of the Spanish government in Mexico...

Some people seem to think there are no people of Spanish heritage in the U.S. other than illegal immigrants.
