The Alabama Senate special election certainly isnt a toss-up, but the possibility that former state Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore might become the Republican nominee creates the potential for a Democratic upset.

How many times have we seen this before??
This is Alabama! The democrat is not going to win in Alabama.
Vote for Moore and deny Mitch McConnell another loyal minion!
Yep, this is right from Mitch’s playbook. Seen it before.
Well, Hillary almost took Georgia and Texas.../s
the possibility that former state Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore might become the Republican nominee creates the potential for a Democratic upsetWerent they saying this about Ossoff in Georgias 6th District too?
Total manipulation piece. Then, after GOP sweeps Alabama, MSM will say “surprising” result. So tiresome.
Well the devil came down to Georgia,
She was looking for an election to steal....
“... uncomfortable with him after the attacks from the runoff.”
That’s the key- will the GOPe destroy Moore?
No. Trump won’t support that kind of campaign by Strange and his allies, and without Trump’s support Strange has no chance.
Trump is no culture warrior but he will vigorously support Moore (or Strange) in the general.
Nothing more than propaganda from an inside the beltway RINO rag.
Moore will clean the Strange ones clock in Alabama.
Interesting that Brooks has not endorsed Moore, given that McConnell
and Strange trashed Brooks. Moore did not. What’s up with that?
“Translation: Don’t vote for the scary conservative in the runoff! Only the Establishment-supported moderate can beat the democrat!!
How many times have we seen this before??”
Yep,
Kind like..
Trump can’t win.
Gotta vote for Jebbie or Kasich.
Only the Establishment-supported moderate can beat the democrat!!
2016 results:
Shelby (R) 64%
Crumpton (D) 36%
2014 results:
Sessions (R) 97%
no democrat bothered to try
I am not scared of the 2018 race.
It’s all in the numbers.
Moore is up 3.8 in the RCP average, rising rather quickly, and his votes were 2.3 better than his polls.
(Never trust any one poll. Always go with the RCP average)
Answer: the Fat Lady is warming up.
The Runoff is still 5 weeks away, but a few more AntiFa riots and Moore wins by 12+
“No. Trump wont support that kind of campaign by Strange and his allies”
I wouldn’t be so sure about that.
“Interesting that Brooks has not endorsed Moore, given that McConnell and Strange trashed Brooks. Moore did not. Whats up with that?”
Does anyone Al have an explanation for this. What did Mitch offer him?
I hope that doesn’t happen, but here’s why it could happen.
Luther Strange seems dirty and has for a while.
Strange received the senate appointment after he called off the investigation of Gov. Robert Bentley.
“EXCLUSIVE: Bentley had illicit affair with staffer in Governors office, audio recordings reveal” http://yellowhammernews.com/politics-2/audio-recordings-reveal-robert-bentley-affair-with-rebekah-mason/
So there’s that for Strange.
Judge Moore, as this continues, will be painted by the media as someone who is off balance. Trust me when I say, no one hates Judge Roy Moore worse than the media in Alabama, especially Birmingham.
They are going after him tooth and nail. You’d be hard pressed to even find a photo at al.com that doesn’t make Judge Moore look bad.
They hate him unreservedly because of his position FOR the Ten Commandments and his position AGAINST homosexual marriage. The editor of the paper is gay and one of the main writers has a homosexual brother. The other reporters all toe the party line to keep from getting fired, or they are extremely liberal themselves.
They are currently reporting on his tax situation with his nonprofit that he and his wife ran. If they find the least little thing, they will use it to bring him down.
And they are definitely looking.
Has something this strange happened before you ask? Why yes it has.
“The 1986 Alabama Democratic primary for governor featured Attorney General Graddick in a heated runoff with then Lieutenant Governor Bill Baxley. Graddick won by a few thousand votes, but the state Democratic party [Gang of Five] ruled that Graddick had violated primary regulations by encouraging Republicans to vote in the Democratic primary. The court instructed the Democratic Party either to hold another election or to nominate Baxley, and the party chose the latter.”
During this time, Baxley was caught in an affair with AP reporter Marie Prat. https://archive.is/wvPUN.
His wife Lucy Baxley was the original “stand by your man” wife and called news conferences to declare that there was no affair.
(They divorced shortly thereafter, Lucy Baxely ran for office and the people of Alabama elected her first to State Treasurer, then 28th Lieutenant Governor of Alabama and finally, president of the Alabama Public Service Commission.)
All of this led to the election of Guy Hunt, the first Republican governor elected in Alabama in over 100 years.
So while I hope it won’t happen, Alabama history and the hostile media climate towards Judge Moore says it could happen.
Old Judge Roy Moore’s got the liberal MSM folks crappin’ in their jeans.
Moore wins GOP primary, he’ll win the general election.
Fake news media keeps talking about how Trump will lose the next election.
Hasn’t happened to date.
There was a hostile media climate towards Karen Handel too.
These “newspapers” will be against any Republican. Which route offers the best chance that they will overplay their hand and lose what littles clout they have with folks outside of the far left?
No, they’ll say Moore didn’t win by as large a margin as expected, so really a Democrat win and “ominous for Republicans in 2018.”
Manipulation? Everything is manipulation. For all you know, they’re trying to scare conservatives into getting out the vote.
