I have a very good friend who is a DNC operative. We have some hot arguments and debates.
When I explained the challenge for the Dems if they want to is to create appeal and connect with the working class family oriented voter that I labelled as the Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. The classic Dem Union voter, what we later knew as the Reagan Democrat.
My friend had no idea what I was talking about. She is a legal immigrant from Eastern Europe, but her head is so wrapped up in identity politics describing their stance as appealing to non-white, Trump hating, immigrant voters. I said good luck winning and good luck putting that collage of voters together
So I think they are in for a surprise in future elections because they have no way to appeal to the “middle” and rely on the fringe.
