No. The monuments don’t “deserve” to be removed. Stopped reading right there.

Only an idiot would think that you could “applaud” the removal of Confederate statues but then somehow turn around a protect George Washington from the same fate.

In a back handed way, this may serve to get people interested in researching/learning about who these historical figures are.

When I was in my early teens, I’ll never forget being spellbound watching the electric map in a darkened room at Gettysburg and listening to the whole story of the battle.

If they remove a statue of Robert E. Lee they will not only drive his admirers underground (of which I am one) but create new ones due to the enormity of the erasure.

Statue removers don’t operate in a vacuum without any consequences; on the contrary they create backlashes.

This person is dreaming if he thinks the turmoil has anything to do with monuments.

The news media and their sycophants in the dim party will feed you what they want you to believe.

The big eye opener for me has been that there seem to be so many anti-American American people today. This means the so called educational system in today’s America has done its job and along with the media and government and has brainwashed many, if not most, of our citizens. Lies are now truth while truth is now ignored.

It appears from the news media he only made ONE decision, Dred Scott vs Sanford, and must pay the everlasting penalty for it. Did he ever make any decisions that were OK for all those years he was on the SCOTUS?

“acted in open rebellion to the United States”
I would venture to say that at the time, we were more a union of states than what people consider today as the homogenous United States. I dare say a side effect of the War between the States, was an over-arching FedGov which later grew into an insatiable maw.
