President Donald Trump has stepped up his attacks on Republican senators, an approach he may regret if he is someday impeached and the Senate has to weigh charges against him stemming from an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.
More than half of the 11 Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee, which would be central to any proceeding to remove Trump from office, have tangled with the Republican president, including on Thursday when he fired off early-morning tweets.

Deputize us ! We will keep you as our President . No matter what ....
Republican senators are the ones without friends.
Another DNC talking point delivered to the MSM to distribute ?
Do you notice how the President is not shy in naming who he prefers in various local contests ?
He needs too have the best advisors ( re: Alabama )
For most Americans, the left are growing tiresome by the hour. They keep this up and Trump will decimate any opponent the left puts up in 2020. No contest.
Ya heard it here first.☺
There is little serious talk being heard in Congress about removing Trump from office. So Cowan refutes his own BS eight paragraphs in.
Not having “friends” in Congress or the Federal Bureaucracy is one of Trump’s attributes.
Then those Republican senators will be out of a job.
And impeached for WHAT?
Two articles in the same day discussing exactly the same concepts throughout?

The President, to his advantage and his disadvantage, does not seem to be a very political person at all.
He doesn’t seem to know who is on his side, and who is not. He also doesn’t seem to realize, or perhaps doesn’t want to admit, that no one in government or the media is on his side. Except perhaps for Sean Hannity.
He is utterly alone in the middle of the Swamp, and my guess is that we are probably going to have to help him soon. And that’s really only fair considering we made the Swamp.
Drudge is off the reservation.
I think they have something on Drudge big time.
“Drudge is off the reservation.”
I’m starting to wonder if he’s not had one bad weener too many.
Yeah they can impeach the president under the “he was mean to me” clause of the Constitution.
Drudge is desperate for attention. So unbecoming for an aging person.
ONly if such senators never expect to win a primary race again, like Jeff Flake or John McLame.
“Republican senators are the ones without friends.”
Absolutely true. The FACT is that the general populace is much more qualified on average than the vast majority of all those who wind up in elected office. I’m very, very serious about this. The biggest talent most politicians have is self-promotion and narcissism. They are a very, very unimpressive lot. That said, they think they are smarter, better, and more important than the rest of America, and thus feel justified in circumventing the will of the people. They must not be allowed to do this.
I've noticed recently the headlines of most articles on WP etc are much more inflammatory than the actual article contents. One could easily deduce this indicates their target audience doesn't even actually read the content of the articles, so they are exploiting the cognitive depth of their readers. This doesn't speak well for the depth of their readers, or the life expectancy of their bonafide reporters, if such a thing exists.
Many of those senators are not worth being friends with! Arrogant, scared, treacherous and worst of all always seeking the approval of the liberals who in truth have nothing but contempt for them when they don’t have a use for them.
