And remember, this is not a government fishing expedition against a website that is merely expressing dissenting views.
This DOJ warrant is pursuant to almost 200 ongoing prosecutions of Inauguration Day rioters.
Lock ‘em up!
I thought those on the left wanted thugs engaged in violent riots to be stopped. Oh, right, it’s only their people who commit violent crimes; of course they protect criminals.
I’m not sure if this is a really good precedent to get started... could come back to bite
The media outs any conservative on a rumor but they defend the privacy of the antifa slime???
Probable cause - court order.....
Ping
I really don’t think it’s much different than turning over surveillance tapes when a robbery takes place. Of course innocent people are on those tapes, but the police aren’t after them. The police are only after those who committed the robbery.
It should be fairly straightforward to sort out the Antifa terrorists from innocent visitors to the site (if there are any).
Imagine the backlash if a computer company was unwilling to give up the names of those frequenting a neonazi website to coordinate staging a violent riot.
A million log entries is not that many.
So why is it ok for the DOJ to go after other companies under Democrat presidents for all of their emails in blanket warrants?
No one said draining the swamp was going to be easy.
PING!!!
