As bad as things are for the GOP right now, remember that it’s even worse for Democrats.
Case in point, the Cook Political Report just moved 4 2018 Senate races in the GOP’s direction:

It’s academic to complain about it - but just look at Missouri and Indiana.
5 years ago, we could have easily picked up Missouri except for Todd Akin’s mouth becoming disengaged from his brain and Richard Mourdock could have held Indiana for the GOP and would have been a more reliable vote than Lugar was. Mourdock also stuck his foot in his mouth.
I still look back on those races and wince because we really could have used to those seats to solidify a conservative presence in the Senate.
People are seeing through the mainstream media, the way they saw through Pravda.
Swept Senate races?? I think it was clearly FRAUD in a couple of those races.....do you think we could get away with fraud?
Of course it was fraud, and we could not get away with that sort of evil. However we don’t need to cheat. We normally win most of those states by more than the margin the Ctrl-Left thugs can make up with vote fraud. We need to focus on the Secretary of State positions in every state, and we need the FBI to vigorously investigate vote fraud in all elections that include candidates for national office. Deport all illegals, but deport those who vote as a high priority. Put the rest of the vote fraud felons in prison for many years.
I really, really, really want Corey Stewart to defeat Tim Kaine in Virginia.
Americans are getting sick of their temper tantrums.
Same thing in Delaware, probably the same cycle, when the Republicans nominated a woman who literally took out an ad to reassure the public that despite what they’d heard, she was not a witch - another seat that would have been pretty well assured the ‘pubs lost.....
It’s not so academic.
A lesson, hopefully, was learned that the state Party should try to give the people a candidate they want. Not just give them a choice between the most loyal Party “moderate” Establishment pick and “someone else”.
Yes 2012 was a very strange year for your candidates behavior.....not surprising they all lost as they really should have. 2018 seems to be a better group of candidates at least so far....of course that could change on a dime.
If the going really gets rough in West Virginia, I look for Manchin to switch parties to the Republicans......
So.. when they have the house, the white house and 60+ in the senate.. what will Mitch the Bytch’s excuse be? because there will be one.
hopefully, the voters of Tennessee can replace Bob Corker with a Republican.
