Photos, films, and recordings were all presented to the msm of the day as well as political figures. Almost all were spiked, twisted, and slandered.
Not meant to disparage you, just showing that there was more. As the X Files said, The Truth is Out There.
Sadly as a child of the 70’s your public school education system had already been taken over by the “progressives”, Walter Chrobkite et al had done their dirty work in reporting the war in Viet Nam, and Watergate hearing flooded the networks.
It’s a hard slog to to review history in a new light while working to provide for one’s family, so many things have their pull on our time. Yet if we do not we become clay pigeons to be picked off one by one or sent to “re-education camps” to have a cram course in the pratical applications of totalitarian rule with mandatory attendance.
‘Photos, films, and recordings were all presented to the msm of the day as well as political figures. Almost all were spiked, twisted, and slandered.’
Exactly.
The voices of truth were too few and easily smeared, slandered, misrepresented, etc.
Now truth itself is flooding the zone.
The main reason why it’s not happening instantly is due to the social media titans being agenda driven. But they keep getting blitzed time and again.
That was why I was so opposed to ICANN going ‘free range’ — international law is truth’s greatest threat.
‘Sadly as a child of the 70s your public school education system had already been taken over by the progressives’
I was actually blessed to have a couple patriotic truth-driven history teachers back in the 70s, and I imagine that most students had it much worse even then.
This might ‘sound’ weird, but CNN was actually conservative in the mid-80s. That was before Barbarella had any influence over Ted Turner. And I heard Pat Buchanan on Crossfire. That was probably the first crack in my liberal armor. Before that I was such a sick puppy that I thought ‘Eat the Rich’ by Krokus was an awesome song. And if I knew that Bill Ayers’ Weathermen wanted to kill 25 million people to overthrow our system of government — heck — mixed feelings since overpopulation seemed real.
I was one confused kid, a flaming leftist who thought Daniel Shorr was heroic when he quit [then conservative] CNN.
