2020 is going to be determined by what is happening in the lives of regular Americans, primarily on the financial front. Absolutely, the local PD is responsible for maintaining order, especially since they granted the permit to actual organization that was legally there. Mark Levin reported today that even the National Guard was there, who reports to the Governor, but apparently never stepped in to maintain order either.
One could easily assume that the Governor, who wants to run for President, allowed the incident to materialize in order to boost his name recognition. But by sitting on their hands the authorities may have even implicated themselves in a crime.

I think most people in this country don’t think people regardless of their offensive views should be violently attacked for their speech. And I doubt most Americans are for removing historical landmarks because some radicalized groups find them racially offense. Overplaying their hand, per usual.
