JUSTINE Damonds killer cop doesnt have to talk about why he shot her but if he wants to keep his job, he will be compelled.
The Star Tribune reports that Officer Mohamed Noor has a constitutional right not to talk with anyone pursuing possible criminal charges in her shooting death.
But if the Minneapolis Police Department opens an internal investigation, the law will force him to talk if he wants to keep working as a police officer.
However, if he gives a statement theres another cruel twist. It can never be used in a criminal case.
In Minnesota, public employees under internal investigation are now read a Garrity Warning, which says that though they are not legally required to say anything, their employer requires it. If an employee doesnt cooperate, or lies, they could lose their job.
But the statement says any information gathered cannot be used in a criminal case.

There was another cop in the car who knows exactly what happened. Whether or not he tells the truth though, well, that’s a whole different story and you can bet he will be under immense pressure to exonerate the shooter.
Fear is not a get out of jail free card. It takes a lot more than that to win even a valid self-defense case.
It is when you're a cop. You had Philando Castile in Minneapolis. Police shootings in Oklahoma and Ohio and the Carolinas and Georgia and Nevada. Coast to coast, north to south, police claim fear for their safety and the safety of others and they walk. Happens over and over again.
I agree with the sentiment, but it’s not just because they claimed fear for their life. It’s not their fear that got them off.
All cop shootings are justified according to cop courts.
Then her family should file a Civil case.
Let’s find out who is financing this group of misfits and malcontents......so that Justine’s family can sue the crap out of them.
That’s a picture to give me nightmares-——all Somalis.
How many young people,of all races, were kicked aside so these people could get jobs?
.
I think the standard is usually “reasonable” fear. It’s sort of vague, and subjective. That’s why so many beat the charges; it’s difficult to get twelve people to agree on the definition.
It is a frightening picture.........they can’t wait to slaughter white people.
Excellent point.......but telling the truth can get him killed by these savages.
What the heck is the matter with the people in that city-——death wish?
