Heather Heyer’s death was proximately caused by the conditions and situation which antifa created when they came - uninvited and without a permit - and initiated violence. Without antifa violence, there would have been no circumstances creating James Fields’ state of mind such as to lead him to want to drive a car into people hitting his car with baseball bats and bricks.

This was a disaster waiting for a victim since the first BLM protests. Nobody stopped them from having their protest-riots block streets. Lots of thinking people talked about what they would do if surrounded by an out-of-control mob hell bent on destruction.

The message should've been "keep your demonstrations out of the streets or get arrested for obstructing traffic". Never happened.

Based on the Kessler complaint filed in court, “counter protestors” were granted permits.

I have yet to find out what particular groups obtained those permits.
