I tip less for a waiter or waitress with lip or tongue piercings.
To: bigbob
Tips are given at the discretion of the tipper. That said, most churches welcome gays so obviously homosexuality is not universally believed to be contrary to Christianity.Just because someplace calls itself a church, doesn't mean they are Christians or teaching Christian doctrine.

I’m not sure where you get your data. While homosexuals are welcome to attend many churches, most churches certainly do not accept their behavior, and that of other sins.
Open homosexuals would not be welcome to join membership at most churches. It would go against everything they stand for.
And the waitress may not have gotten a tip, but I assure you, there was no message left on the receipt.

“The tip is given for good service and nothing more.”
Yes, if the diner is a right-thinking person. (Right as in correct.)

Nope. Most of these are scams/frauds. A way attention whores to scam moron snowflakes out of their money. If you did not legitimately get a tip it was probably due to really service.

Happened to me twice at two different restaurants. Another incident was pretty funny; stayed at a motel and the Indian guy ran my Amex card to buy some Indian food online to be delivered to him at that motel. Amex caught it because it was for 7,5000RLS (Indian money) and I have a hundred dollar “call me limit” ....

Comment is written in blue ink. The signature in black.
Fake. Fakity, fake, fake, fake.

You don’t believe this because these things a pretty much always a hoax.

No, TIP is an acronym for to insure promptnessThat's an interesting point. We basically have tipping backwards. If we want to ensure promptness, we really should be tipping before the meal, not afterwards. I've actually tried this a couple times and it seems to work. I was taking some co-workers out to dinner after work one night and wanted to act the big shot so I pressed a $20 bill into the waiters hand right at the beginning and told him we would likely have several rounds of drinks during the meal. I can tell you the drinks came fast and furious from that point on. Even threw in some free appetizers "on the house." He ended up with an even bigger tip at the end.

I lived in the Rockford area for 15 years, and lived in Rockford proper for eight. I would believe the not tipping for the homo tats, but the phrase about Our Lord sounds more televangelisty than the blue-collar anti-pervert folks in Rockford. Based on the wording, I am doubtful about the story.

Why is the signature in a different color ink than the “note” and tip amounts?
I smell a hoax.
To: Salman
I personally do not believe this story and I would not do what is claimed in the story.
but In fairness, hey, it sounds like she got served an un-gay wedding cake.
Fair is fair, right..?
It turns out that when it gets turned around on them, they don’t like it.

No, TIP is an acronym for to insure promptness, thats always been the historical thought. If a Jewish server was your waitress would you refuse to tip them too? Hindu server?
That is what the acronym stands for, but the point of a tip is to reward the waiter or waitress for enhancing the dining experience and to create an environment that is pleasant and welcoming. This could include good manners, refills of water/drinks, knowledgability about the menu and other restaurant features (e.g. WIFI code), NOT just promptness.
If the waitress wore a t-shirt that spelled out FU, that would also be an expression saying "I don't care about your time here. I gotta be meeeeee!" One shouldn't be surprised if the customer reciprocates.
God's Law against perverted behavior is near universal through most of history among monotheistic religions. Even those who weren't strongly religious would prefer that you keep your vices to yourself, and not scare the horses.

We basically have tipping backwards.
If you become a semi-regular it works out well.
Waiters and waitresses also profile like hawks. As a white middle-aged man raised in the northeast of moderate means who used to work as a cook, I match the profile of highest tippers (rich people hit both extremes, and usually low-ball). My tipping generally matches the profile, and appreciate good service from pleasant waiters and waitresses.
