1) Why the move to eradicate these "offensive" Confederate statues now, and from where did it come?
2) Where does this movement end? Only with Confederate statues?
Some private person should offer to buy them. Then set them up in a private park for display.

As President Trump said yesterday, you could lump Washington and Jefferson (and so many others) into this situation. Where does it end? With Barack Obama on the $1 and Hillary Clinton on the Quarter, and the Washington Monument in ruins.
What is a private park?
People seem to have an unrealistic view of the value of these old statues. Museums don't want them. Schools don't want them. The only people who show to defend them are carrying nazi banners.
I highly doubt some rich benefactor will purchase them for display. Most likely, they'll be sold for scrap.
The fools who deem these desecrations morally imperative have no inkling of the horrors they unlease. Their own precious icons will be on the chopping block in due time.
One cannot erase history and denegrate ancient heroes without consequence. The price for these atrocities will be terrible.
