BALTIMORE - Contractors in Baltimore have removed several of the city's Confederate statues overnight.
The Robert E. Lee and “Stonewall” Jackson monument in Wyman Park Dell was removed early Wednesday morning.
The Confederate Women's Monument on West University Parkway was removed overnight as was the Roger Taney Monument from Mount Vernon Place. Taney was a Supreme Court justice who ruled African-Americans could not be considered citizens of the U.S.
It is unclear if and when the city’s remaining Confederate statue - the Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument on Mount Royal Avenue - is scheduled for removal.
A commission appointed by former Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake recommended removing two of four Confederate-era monuments in 2015. On Monday, Baltimore's City Council made the decision to remove them.
Current Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh said she wanted the statues to be placed in Confederate cemeteries elsewhere in Maryland.
In an effort to prevent the kind violence seen in Virginia on Saturday when white nationalists came to Charlottesville to protest the removal of a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee, Pugh did not announce when the statues would be removed.
On Tuesday, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has called for the removal of a statue of Justice Roger B. Taney from the grounds of the State House.

10 yards away from my best firend’s Mother’s grave in a little Southern country town is the grave of a Confederate Civil War veteran who died in 1907.
On Confederate Memorial Day every year a little old lady, unrelated to the deceased, places a little Confederate Battle Flag on his marker.
When that little old lady dies there will be no one to place those flags every Confederate Memorial Day.
And when the Marxist Left and the weakling Cucks get their way, this forgotten Civil War soldier will not doubt be dug up and thrown into the trash pile by an evil and stupid people unfit to even carry that soldier’s undershorts.
We are losing this country just as sure as the sun rises in the East.

The suburbs and rural areas are solidly Christian and conservative, but weakening with the ever-increasing numbers of transplanted Yankees.
I used to eat lunch at the foot of the statue in Wyman Park — at least on nice days when there weren’t crack heads or homeless zombies there, too.
Wonder if they will blow up Ft. McHenry next.

The decision was enormously - maybe more - unpopular in 1857 too. It was a breathtaking exercise of judicial activism, dramatically limiting the ability of states to pass their own laws regarding slavery by declaring - in openly racist and unconstitutional language that black people were an inferior race and couldn’t be citizens - even though there was zero legal basis for that decision.

All vestiges of memory have already been eradicated. Google’s insidious control of public discourse though its biased search results is already far beyond anything imagined by any dystopian tale. Add in Facebook’s social engineering and thought control is virtually a fait accompli. That is only the technology; the Leftists have owned education in this country for generations, and that poison fruit has usurped not only the culture but rational thought itself.
The truth is that ideological differences are being systematically programmed to produce emotional responses completely outside the cerebral cortex. Behavioral and physiological sciences are no panacea, but anyone who thinks behavior modification stopped with Pavlov is in for a rude awakening. The only thing needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing, and it’s really not that hard to get people to do nothing.

At leasthe 3 people were shot in Baltimore on Tuesday. And I’m pretty sure those statues didn’t do it.
Well, I suppose Baltimore now will become the first fully functioning utopian city run exclusively by black democrats. The black ghettos and crime will disappear wonderfully. All problems have been solved. Sheer genius to take such bold action.
