He promoted the rally with KKK hashtags on his website and white supremacist symbols on the posters. His guests were white identity leaders. So how do you end up at a rally where the promoters and speakers are all white supremacists and then say you were tricked because they are really “Leftist Rats?”

Somehow this guy shnookered conservatives into the group, in part because Robert E Lee was all about mending differences. Unlike racist Woodrow Wilson, Lee was a peacemaker. And Lee never said anything stridently in favor of slavery, unlike Wilson’s father.
Best I can tell [after limited research] is that Lee was probably as dubious about slavery as George Washington.
