North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reviewed his military's plans to rain "an enveloping fire" around the U.S. territory of Guam — but opted not to fire missiles at this time, according to state media. Despite the stand-down, some Guamanians were alarmed after two radio stations aired an erroneous emergency alert Tuesday.
Kim visited the Korean People's Army as the self-imposed mid-August deadline for a missile demonstration approached, the Korean Central News Agency reports. But after hearing the plan and considering it, Kim opted not to give the order to launch missiles," the report says.

The story behind the story here is that China is feeling GREAT pressure, and fecal matter rolls downhill.
I do believe Xi Jinping was leaning more than a little bit on Kim Jong Un. Fatboi is not altogether devoid of any sense of self-preservation.
The US might not be in a position to effect “regime change”. But China sure is.
Trump will get zero credit for this from the media and the left.
If there is a clean and easy way to end the Nork regime, China would be all for it.

Trump is a master at misdirection. Everyone is yelling about Charlottesville, meanwhile, he's making real progress on something of lasting importance.
Charlottesville is trivia that will be forgotten about at the end of the current news cycle; the Norks nuking Guam - or, more likely, having their missiles get shot down, or miss the target entirely - is a serious foreign policy issue with global implications.
I'm more and more impressed by the man, every day he's in office. Also, more convinced that we'd be in seriously deep #$#@$ with Hillary (or The Bern).
