The “terrorist” appears to crash into two cars in front of him.

Is that what other people on this thread are seeing?

That creates a new narrative....

The “terrorist” was driving a safe speed down the street.

The “terrorist” then panicked when he realized he was surrounded by Radical Leftists with weapons, who may have identified him in some way (flag in car? - bumper sticker? - hat? - tee shirt?).

He attempted to ram his way forward - which failed - then opted for a high speed reverse.

Self-defense mixed with completely understandable panic?

I've seen some speculation that he smashed into the car in front of him because the crowd of people obscured it from his view.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't know all of the facts here -- and we may never know the driver's actual state of mind -- but it's looking more and more like the fatality in this incident may have been at least a Darwin Award contestant, if not an absolute winner.
