I've had the TV off all day also. I'm not a TV addict, but I like my news in the AM.....and I used to enjoy the Fox evening lineup very much.
But for some reason, I just don't care to turn the tube on these days. I've just lost the urge.
Well, actually, I DO know the reason...I'm sick and tired of the garbage, the fakery, the uncomfortably shrill and fast-talking (almost unintelligible) voices, the over-talking and nasty comments, the doom-and-gloomery, the scare tactics, the never-ending anti-Trumpisms and other biases...all being thrown in our faces whether we like it or not...so I'm doing other things with my time...or I watch other non-news shows.
Hannity, the Judge, Dobbs, etc.....fine.
Plus, I think our bodies are telling many of us that robust and stable mental health is not being served by the current programming of news by its liberal purveyors.

Dissed DISH. Now have just YouTube where I keep Fox on all day. Seldom watch but it’s onin the background just in case there is breaking news. Often mute when I don’t want to hear a certain individual !

For one, here, I could not agree more, concur, and applaud your impulse to tune out.
To be rid of the hyperventilating overdose of BOTH sides, (actually, all sides) each and everyone clattering their teeth, boosting their volume, with fury in their eyes, arrogance in their body language even before facts are in, is advocacy trumping reality. This is our regular, unvarying and dependable fare on national TV.
All is advocacy. Political views and agendas shove every fact and chronology to the side, in favor of lighting our hair on fire.
I’ve had quite enough myself. When the bizarre coverage of the tragedy hit the screen yesterday, but could not hear it, while at a salon. Enough of it was FOX, already doing Trump no favors, as you stated.
I have not had the TV on since. Who needs the media circus at this early point, before all the elements of this disaster are even pieced together? I don’t.
News is hysterical enough on the internet, posting reams of bad news articles one after another, but at least there is no volume, and I can pick and choose sources and columns to peruse that fit my search for facts and not the BS political advocacy of every talking head.

I find it rather absurd and insulting to listen to 30 year olds who have no clue about the recent history of this country spouting off as to what the president of the US should do.
These people, come to the table with what? Maybe a law degree, maybe a broadcasting degree, maybe even public speaking courses etc. These are people who were not alive when Kennedy was shot, or when Eisenhower was president.
These are people who probably never spoke to a WWI, WWII, or Korean War Veteren. I doubt even, if they can recall the God awful years of LBJ and his war of attrition and the years of Jimmy Carter, that shaped the mess we have today in the Middle East.
No, these are people who have no experience telling a man who has lived through all the above, employed people, sat down with tough negotiators, and is pretty darn smart to boot.
No, I can’t stomach any of them on Fox or the others, and to add this: I’ve just about had with with the likes of Ann Coulter and Peggy Noonan, and of course Charles Krauthammer. They are stupid people, trying to tell someone, i.e. Trump what to do, when he’s doing just fine.
Very little TV I tune on these days. Don’t want to be brain polluted by MSM garbage !!!
I’m on that same page, totally fed up with fake news, including partly FAUX news. What’s displayed on the outlets is churning to your stomach and overall health decreasing. Even some F.R. sites are stomach churning to its core as well as Facebook !!!
What has happened to this country and its citizens, so discouraging ???
