The new mayor of St. Louis, Lyda Krewson, to placate BLM, took one down in Forest Park. Cost a pretty penny but hey, crime is still flipping out of control.
At some point, there will be a group that is willing to resort to violence to keep a statue.
I would not be associating with any racist groups, especially in a public demonstration like this. In addition to the racism, these “white pride” groups are filled with criminals, Nazis, agent provocateurs and various other unsavory characters. I would go as far as to say that virtually every prominent white racist leader in recent history has been a paid government informant, whose goal is to discredit principled liberty/independence groups. The deep state has many, many tentacles. Avoid.
They’ll replace Lee with Che. Then the left will be happy. Try to remove Che, and then see what happens.
The protesters demanded preserving the statues as historical reminders, such as: of Democratic Party tyranny.
The counter-protesters and the mayor are therefore racists.

White nationalists rallied at a statue of Thomas Jefferson on the grounds of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville on Friday. Student protesters resisting the rally stood with a banner at the foot of the statue.

Next up: leftist cultural cleansing of the university of any trace of the sight of or influence of Jefferson.

My primary issue with the rally is flying Nazi flags. I wouldn’t have anything to do with such people.
