A bombshell report published Wednesday by avowedly liberal news magazine The Nation may have put the last nail in the coffin of the Russian hack narrative that has dominated the mainstream medias coverage for the last year.
Author Patrick Lawrence assembles the findings of months of investigation by forensic computer experts and former NSA officials to conclude, quite categorically, what Breitbart News and other independent media outlets have suggested for nearly a year: there was no hack of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) by the Russian government or anyone else last summer. An internal leaker is a much more likely source of the confidential internal DNC emails that upended the presidential campaign season when they became public last June.
Some supporters of Senator Bernie Sanders saw in the emails a DNC plot to support eventual nominee Hillary Clinton, dealing a blow to Democratic unity in the runup to the partys convention.

This all finally makes sense when you think about it. The DNC email hack was internal and the “russian hack” was simply a cover story, and is the reason the DNC refused to allow the FBI to investigate, namely the FBI would have quickly discovered that there was no “russian hack”. One has to remember that the ONLY source of the “russian hack” story is from the DNC itself: there never was an INDEPENDENT investigation.
In the mean time, the “russian hack” was such a great diversion from Hillary’s and the Dem’s many failings that the Democrat-Enemedia-Complex decided to “grow” the “russian hack” into a full blown “russian conspiracy” to steal the election from Hillary. Since there never has been one iota of evidence that there was a “russian conspiracy”, the whole thing was bound to collapse sooner or later. In a year or so, Muller will also report that no evidence of a “trump-russian” collusion exists.
the only way justice is ever served is to have that common cause with Bernie supporters. Anything short and it will be dismissed as right wing paranoia.

Great post.
The Nation magazine wants off this Russia train wreck. It’s a dead end for the Left, a box car full of their wishes and dreams. A myth from the start.
The Russians have to be just shaking their heads in wonder that we, knowing there was no Russian meddling (and can there be any doubt that the whole governmental apparatus knows this), would still appoint a special prosecutor to try to find something that doesn’t exist.
These aren’t the actions of a rational nation.
Haha the comments at The Nation (the source of the Brietbart article) are amusing. https://www.thenation.com/article/a-new-report-raises-big-questions-about-last-years-dnc-hack/
All the DUmmies (and you can tell who they are) clinging desperately to the sinking titanic fantasy that is the “Russian Hack” are either purposefully or stupidly (can’t really tell which) conflating Mbps with MBps.
Maroon’s as Bugs Bunny would say. What Maroon’s.
And the only other possible attack the crazies have offered there is rich in irony: the primary sources of this article are all anonymous, therefore HOW can The Nation be trusted here? They breathlessly bleat. Meanwhile, every single one of THEIR “sources”, such as the NYT and Rachel Madcow, in furthering the Russia hack balderdash, use anonymous primary sources THEMSELVES.
My gosh the stupid, it burns bright in the comments section of The Nation.
And then Trump pardons them both.
good idea
