The recently confirmed secretary of the Navy says he will follow any order the president gives on transgender troops, but that “any patriot” should be allowed to serve.
“We will process and take direction of a policy that is developed by the [Defense] secretary [with] direction from the president and march out smartly,” Navy Secretary Richard V. Spencer told reporters Thursday night after visiting Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia.
"On a fundamental basis, any patriot that wants to serve and meets all the requirements should be able to serve in our military"
Spencer was confirmed a week after President Trump tweeted that he plans to ban transgender people from serving in the military.

Audie Murphy was turned down by everybody. The Army had to take him, as he was just small. And the fact that he did not have a disqualifying medical condition.
He should be replaced - borderline insubordination should not be tolerated. Bust one of these assholes and the message will be received by the others 5 by 5. The Obamanation is over, and so is the era of social experimentation in our military.

Having served as a commissioned Army officer, I’ve personally been opposed to conscription, and been a proponent of the all volunteer force, but looking back at history, we may want to reinstate the draft. When that happens, lunatic leftists don’t demand entry into the military, in fact, they do everything to dodge it.
Want to keep these nuts out of the military? Make it compulsory, and most of them will flee to Canada.

That is a valid medical issue. They treated my dad’s prostate cancer with hormone injections. Once they started he could barely stay awake. Started having hot flashes and all the typical woman-in-menopause symptoms.
On second thought . . . I do not see him breaking with the President at all - he is agreeing with him that the policy will be obeyed and that future enlistees will need to meet the requirements.
Remember, Nidal Hasan took an oath too.
Repeal and replace this idiot.
