The "victim" didn't even file a complaint...it was someone else outside the class who found out about it.
And the south Florida fake news media is going CRAZY over this story.
I know the story says they resigned.
Why would anyone put a noose over anyone else’s chair, forget black or white or whatever.
It’s just weird.
And extremely stupid.
Given the usual age of recruits stupidity is still strong in them. Wisdom usually comes with time & experience.

It’s actually horrible. Well beyond weird.
Fireman are known for playing insane and sometimes cruel jokes on new guys and each other. In another time this would have been laughed at and forgotten.
As a Mom of a Firefighter(who happens to work in a town close to Pompano) I agree with you. However, we are living in another dimension it seems. This prank was a strange one considering how diverse South Florida is. Just plain stupid on many levels.
Is there anything left that’s not considered racist? Attention white people: you will now speak only when spoken to, and you will make no direct eye contact, ever. When asked something of an historic nature, your only response will be “it’s all my fault”. You may refer to Europe only in the context that it needs more non-white refugees. Mao, Idi Amin, and other non-white mass murderers are still bad, but not as bad as you. As for the rest of the world, we like America just fine. We just don’t like Americans. You made yourself a nice country, so we’ll just take over where you left off. You can go now.

I have some experience with Fire Fighters. There is a constant effort by them to play practical jokes on each other, and they often do things that make you wonder what the h3ll they were thinking.
Playing stupid jokes on each other appears to be part of Firefighter culture. I guess they have so much time sitting around in their stations waiting for something to happen that they try to find "entertainment" in any way they can.

It was beyond bad taste and I don’t know what they were thinking. And now they have no careers. You reap what you sow.
