This is why we can’t have nice things in the United States.
Parents who willfully abuse their children into believing they are transgenders are now suing schools because they are unfit parents.
That was the case with a 5-year-old, yes that is correct, a 5-year-old “transgender” who attended a charter school in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The parents “thought that their 5-year-old boy, who now identifies as a girl, would learn and thrive. But instead, the parents alleged that the school violated their child’s civil rights, by not protecting against gender-based bullying and hostility.”
How does a 5-year-old child even understand the concept of gender? Why are they even discussing it and how do they even know what a ‘transgender’ person actually is or what that means?
This is beyond disturbing that the school is paying a price for these parents who abuse their child but it’s happening, as CBS Minnesota reports:
In the early spring of 2016 their story went public, and was discussed openly at school board meetings.
At the time, David Edwards told reporters, “we know from what he has shown us so far that we’re going to need some protections in place in public school.”
Edwards said that the school’s teachers attempted to foster a welcoming and inclusive class environment, but their actions were later blocked by school leadership.
Earlier this summer the school was served with a two-count, civil discrimination lawsuit which demanded policy and training changes.
To avoid a costly and protracted court battle, the two sides chose to enter into mediation.
The action proved successful, as an agreement was recently announced that holds the school to transgender policy changes, staff training and gender neutral student uniforms.
In addition to the policy changes, Nova will pay $120,000 in damages to the Edwards.

Studies have shown that transgenderism in children actually doesn’t exist. Many children may play out feelings until their old enough to make decisions as adults, but parents who encourage “transgenderism” in children are actually abusing their children.

Defined by the strong, persistent feelings of identification with the opposite gender and discomfort with one’s own assigned sex that results in significant distress or impairment.
For adults, this is a far different issue than it is for children. Children don’t typically have preconceived notions about gender. Yes, they may see how their parents and other adults behave and interact, but children don’t usually grasp social norms in the same ways adults do.
Unfortunately, too many are now taking these regular childhood behaviors and exploiting them to advance the “trans cause.” Just because your son decides he likes to play with his sister’s dolls doesn’t mean he wants to actually be a girl, even if he occasionally dons a dress.
A majority of parents understand this and it’s not a problem, but others push transgenderism on their children rather than letting childhood emotions play out until they become rational adults.
It is absolutely disturbing that parents are being allowed to abuse their children in such a manner because some on the left believe it’s completely “normal” to do so. Child psychologists know better but it appears that many in that field have also been taken over by left-wing extremism.
Nothing is OKAY about any of this. Let kids be kids and they’ll figure it out when they are old enough to make adult decisions.
Some parents are even giving their “trans” children puberty blockers, which not only cause long-term negative physical effects in the immediate future, but it is unknown what the really long-term effects are because there hasn’t been anyone who has taken them long enough to actually know.
People should not encourage this behavior. Untold harm is being inflicted upon these children.

The parents did not have a case that would have survived a Summary Declaration, let alone an appeal, as government entities do not have a responsibility to protect individual people, and of course, there is Sovereign Immunity.
But the parents won, because, although the child supposedly wished he had no balls, the School Board had no balls either.

When you mediate a case like this, you come into the meeting all meek and mild, then announce that you really see this mediation as useless, since you intend to counter-sue the parents for $10,000,000 for malicious prosecution on behalf of the taxpayers, and a citizens group in the district will be petitioning the state child welfare agency to remove the child from this obviously abusive home.
In 4 cases of similar idiocy, where the medication began at 10:00, I was never not back to the office by 1:00. Idiots (especially their lawyers) fold fast in cases like this.
This court decision is just insane.

American Pediatric Assn. - See #8 here. There is another article from this same organization that I ran across a few days ago which flat out states - this is child abuse; plain and simple. The same people who will pooh-pooh this information are the same people who will go to the mat advocating along with this organization multi-vaccinations for babies and toddlers!

We are long past the time of saying boys have a penis, and girls have a vagina, and for that to be all that needs to be said on that subject.

The American Academy of Pediatrics' policy is strongly against allowing a child to believe they are a gender other than their genetic & phenotypic gender.

In the past, this would have been called child abuse.
5 years old is WAY too young for someone to be transgender. Many of these kids are likely going through a phase and will grow out of it.
Sounds like a preplanned scam, to be honest. I think they had hitting the lawsuit lottery in mind from the get-go.
