The current issue of Newsweek (yes, it's still in business!) has a picture of President Trump sitting in a recliner, with snacks and an iPad in his lap, pointing his TV remote at the viewer, blazoned with the headline, "Lazy Boy."
Liberals only wish.
Last week, the president joined Sens. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) and David Perdue (R-Ga.) to announce legislation that would make seminal changes to our immigration laws for the first time in more than half a century, profoundly affecting the entire country.
The media have chosen not to cover the RAISE Act (Reforming American Immigration for Strong Employment). This bill is their worst nightmare.
Instead of admitting immigrants on the basis of often specious "family" ties, the bill would finally allow us to choose the immigrants we want, based on merit, with points granted for skills, English proficiency, advanced degrees, actual job offers and so on.
Most Americans have no idea that we have zero say about the vast majority of immigrants pouring into our country. Two-thirds of all legal immigrants get in not because we want them -- or even because Mark Zuckerberg wants them -- but under idiotic "family reunification" laws.
The most important provision of the RAISE Act would define "family" the way most Americans think of it: your spouse and minor children.
Unfortunately, that's not how the Third World thinks of "family." In tribal societies, "family" means the whole extended clan -- adult siblings, elderly parents and brothers-in-law, plus all their adult siblings and elderly parents, and so on, ad infinitum.
Entire tribes of immigrants are able to bully their way in and, as legal immigrants, are immediately eligible for a whole panoply of government benefits. ...

Like Ann pointed out, leftists wish Trump was a lazy boy. In truth, he’s a workaholic and relentless to boot. He’s their absolute worst nightmare.
The real life lazy boy was their own beloved Barack Obama who accomplished nothing that couldn’t be achieved just by running his mouth at some kind of a fundraiser.

They can say what they will about Trump, but he is the antithesis of lazy. Trump was holding rallies in 5 states in a single day during the home stretch of the 2016 campaign. If Bill Clinton’s wife had put forth even half of the effort Trump did (particularly in the midwest), she may have won. Thankfully, she was the lazy one of the two candidates. I imagine she thought she could make it up by simply outspending Trump 2-to-1.

I’m for one thankful our side can never hide again or pretend they want to lead or win...they just want their cash. I can thank Trump for exposing the swamp uniparty.

Current legal immigration is 1.1 million per year. The Raise Act would lower it to 500,000 - over ten years.
Can someone explain to me why the USA needs to import another 7 million Third World immigrants over the next ten years?
Skills? Total crap! It's impossible to check or verify 500,000 work histories and salary histories from Third World countries.
Education? Total crap! Almost no Third World universities or vocational schools are accredited by USA employers. These folks won't be able to get high skill job interviews, let alone high skill jobs.
Politics? 80% of new immigrant citizens vote for the Democrat Party.

I don't know what went on his mind. I never expected this vitriol. The left hated GW but this has gone off the charts.
Wish his own party would support him more.
The sad thing is, he didn't need to do this. He is only accepting $1 in salary. He did it because he loves his country, and now he is being pummeled.
We should all send cards of support, maybe even donations.
He did not need this massive headache.
