Having failed to win the White House in November and with a new book on the way, Hillary Clinton is reportedly looking at turning to a more publicly religious role. Her pastor is saying she wants to get into preaching.
According to The Atlantic, Clinton told her longtime pastor Bill Shillady, at a recent photo shoot for his new book, that she wants to preach something that the outlet says has always been a dream for her.
This comes on the back of a report that Clinton told an editor in 1994 that she thought all the time about becoming a minister. Per the Atlantic:
Last fall, the former Newsweek editor Kenneth Woodward revealed that Clinton told him in 1994 that she thought all the time about becoming an ordained Methodist minister. She asked him not to write about it, though: It will make me seem much too pious. The incident perfectly captures Clintons long campaign to modulateand sometimes obscureexpressions of her faith.
The revelation comes ahead of two Clinton-related books coming out in 2017. Clinton herself has written What Happened a 500+ page campaign post-mortem about how she lost in November. But Shillady himself has a new book of devotions: Strong for a Moment Like This: The Daily Devotions of Hillary Rodham Clinton which has a forward by Clinton herself.

Someone suggested on Twitter that she would make an appropriate minister for the Church of Satan. The Church of Satan responded on Twitter that they didn’t want her and emphasized that she claims to be a Methodist.
Amen

If she seeks to pursue religion, that is to be admired. But the skeptic in me whispers that this is yet again an attempt to rehabilitate her image. We’ll see if she follows through.
But even Methodists haven’t stooped to lesbian clergy - yet.
She is the new Rev. Wright!
Sorry Hillary...”Pass The Loot” (PTL) has already been used.
Gotta be a joke.
If it’s a joke, it a bad one.
The same Hillary who said she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary?
The same Hillary who claimed she wanted to be a Marine but the recruiter turned her down because she was a woman?
The same Hillary who started her career being fired from the Watergate committee staff for lying?
The same Hillary who claims that her 33,000 deleted emails were about yoga routines and her daughter's wedding?
The same Hillary who claimed she turned $10,000 into $100,000 in one year from trading cattle futures?
The same Hillary whose claim to fame during the last election campaign was being seen by her voters as a liar, dishonest and corrupt?
That Hillary? Who now wants us to believe she wants to be a Methodist preacher?
Please don't tarnish the Methodist religion with your lying, cheating and dishonest rhetoric.
Nobody believes this woman anymore and nobody would want her as a preacher in their church.
Try being a full-time grandmother while you can. Grandkids can get tired of their grandparents as they get older. Besides, they won't want to come see you in prison after you pay for your crimes against America.
You are quite kind, FRiend. :)
I bet she cant do it unless its patronizing or cursing
LOL. Watch for vomiting, a rotating head, and even claw scratches, in groups of three, on her skin.
I'd bring a cross and some holy water to see this...
LOL! She'll preach it! ;)
Hopefully the chickens will come home to roost for her, and soon....
LOL!!!
And she and Bill have managed to take a pass on pretty much all of those Suggestions. ;)
I couldn’t help laughing out loud.
For elders and deacons, yes. MDiv or MAR as appropriate.
But the UMC has many small rural and urban churches unable to fund a full time minister. A bishop can consecrate a lay minister or licensed local pastor to those churches on the provision they complete a seminary level course of study while in that setting.
Maybe she should start at the bottom by getting a job as a janitor at a church.
