Republican challengers in intra-party contests embrace Trump, blast lack of legislative progress
Nevada businessman Danny Tarkanian announced Tuesday on Fox News Fox & Friends that he was launching a 2018 Republican primary challenge against Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.).
"We're never going to make America great again unless we have senators in office that fully support President Trump and his America First agenda," Tarkanian said on "Fox & Friends." "That's what's frustrated the people of Nevada so much. Dean Heller has broken one promise after another to the people of Nevada. He promised to repeal Obamacare, and in fact, he voted for that two years ago. But when he had the chance to actually get it repealed, he voted against it."
As for Heller, his approval numbers took a hit following the Senate's health care reform debacle. A poll released last week by the Democratic-aligned firm Public Policy Polling (PPP) found that just 22 percent of Nevada voters approve of Heller.

A mid-July poll from Morning Consult found that the vehemently anti-Trump Flake was the third least-popular senator in Congress, with 37 percent approval and 45 percent disapproval from American voters.
Flake's open hostility to the president from his own party and support for liberal immigration measures has earned him opposition from GOP primary challengers, most notably vocal pro-Trump former Arizona state Sen. Kelli Ward, who penned an op-ed last week titled "Jeff Flake is trying to have it both ways."
"Flake and his fellow elitists in Washington, D.C., think that President Trump is the problem. But Republican voters knew exactly what they were doing and, more specifically, who they were rejecting when they overwhelmingly supported candidate Trump over more than a dozen 'traditional' GOP candidates," Ward added.

I can’t wait for Trump to endorse Heller.
Most senators get wined and dined by lobbyists, go to DC cocktail parties and can be bought.
they tell us that now and when they get there everything changes
The smear machine in full force.
only way is drain all the money out of DC
Woo hoo! We need men and women in every state to come out like this. True patriots!
You’ll see Trump supporters run against the elite and win...2018...#DraintheSwamp
If that happens we'll know the swamp won.
Get rid of open primaries.
Just ONE conservative in the primary.
Raise grass roots money.
I get email every day from Ryan et. al. begging for money.
they can go #### themselves
And in the morning no less
I’m glad to see the tenaciousness of the people who are not being discouraged by the uphill battle to reform Washington. The Swamp wasn’t built in a day. This is a steady process; taking back the Republican Party starts in the primaries. We have to turn over every RINO seat and then keep the newly elected from being corrupted like they were in the midterms of 2010. I know - I’m stating the obvious, but it really isn’t complicated. We won’t let down our guard after the election this time, believing they will keep their promises. There’s a very good chance Michigan will gain a Republican seat in the Senate and we Michiganders must make sure our new senator does not succumb once elected.
Waiting to see what Joe Manchin (D-WV) will do.
Will he flip parties like the Governor did?
Joke post?
Just one REAL CONSERVATIVE in the primaries, please. We had better be careful. I rememeber, just a few short years ago, that Dems were running as Tea Party candidates and NO ONE CHECKED to see if they were really Conservative. Don’t vote for an umknown just because he/she SAYS they are Conservative. Please check first!
“Dems were running as Tea Party candidates and NO ONE CHECKED to see”
Soros and the Rats are going to use this trick all over the country. We get McTraitors by the bae getting split. what’s sickening is the GOPe is complicit. They helped Murkowski as a write in after she lost the GOP primary to a conservative her first term. 1 and only 1 true conservative per race.
Didn’t know that. ####>
