Wild pigs are perhaps the most destructive invasive species in the United States, causing an estimated $1.5 billion in damages every year to crops and property across the country, uprooting farmers' fields, degrading water quality and out-competing native wildlife for food.
In the latest installment of AL.com's series on invasive species, we examine the feral hog, one of the costliest non-native species in Alabama, and what landowners and wildlife officials can do to keep their populations under control.

Guns are needed, too.
Organic chemistry. If that fails, go nuclear.
Round them up and air drop them in Iran?
Used with night vision scopes...
But they sure can help.

let me guess - we need dialogue and social justice too.
Rifled slugs have a place too. Or you can buy a packet of razor blades for the local college progressives and tell them to tackle a few tuskers and give them vasectomies. The Youtube vids ought to be great.
Bullets alone won’t solve the world’s passenger pigeon problem. ..
People don't seem to recognize things like this, but it could also be possible that habitat change had something to do with the passenger pigeon's demise. I certainly have seen how the retreat of farming in the Eastern US has created young forest and "edge" habitats that have led to the roaring comeback of deer, hawks, bluebirds, bobcats, mountain lions, timber wolves, and wild turkeys--and the invasion of coyotes from (I think) eastern Canada to chase all that new protein.
Oh really?
Any good locations in NE GA?
Air drop them in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, MECA! Any where that Islam is.
Watch the video . They are using expensive thermal imaging night scopes . But at the first shot ( Pow!) the hogs all start too run . What if it was a barely audible ‘ pack ,pack, pack ‘ ? Tell me if large caliber rifle’s report can’t be choked down enough to not to alarm the whole herd ? There would be hogs dropping and the other ones just looking around for the source of the thuds . Possible or not ?
There’s a feral hog problem in D.C. too that needs to be dealt with.
M-90s, 105 direct fire Beehive Rounds, or claymores may.
Should be easy pickins’ too. They’re all lined up at the trough.
