Idiot article! Of course we need one main language - anything else cause divisions, isolation and disadvantage. We need to get rid of all of these “press 2 for another language” controls and stick to one unified language and culture.

The Statue of Liberty was built by white people. The poem was written by a white woman. It should be torn down as a symbol of cultural oppression.
To be pedantic, it's not “press 2 for another language”, it's "press 2 for Spanish".
Immigrants speaking every other language except Spanish are expected to learn English. If I were Latino, I would find this notion that I am too stupid to learn English highly offensive.
