Kelly’s gonna have the President doing pushups and squats.

"Since his swearing-in on Monday, Kelly has moved swiftly to bring order to a chaotic and unruly White House, according to accounts from 12 administration aides..."

Sounds like they're still leaking info.

This article differs from the one in the WSJ the other day and others by implying that the two NSC staffers were fired by Kelly (not McMaster) because they were "thought to be divisive" or "were acting outside" the new chain of command.

DC 'elites' wet dream is turning Trump into Jeb Bush...

Here's a flash for you Deep State idiots: IF WE HAD WANTED JEB BUSH WE WOULD HAVE ELECTED JEB BUSH.

He stressed work ethic

He won't last long. That is not a D.C. value, and certainly not a GOPe value, where hard work means a late night partying with your lobbyists and memorizing how you are supposed to vote.

President Trump is no fool. Granted, just as with his TV show, he lets things go a bit too far before he finally clamps down. I really think he's looking for some essential goodness and talent in all people, and believes there is some. But this is DC, where the swampthings have even less essential goodness than the flawed contestants on The Apprentice. The other thing is the DC crowd doesn't feel it has to behave to stay involved. Because of this, Trump's style cannot drain the swamp. It's actually Scaramucci's appointment that brought it to crisis mode. It's a blessing that fiasco happened a few weeks before vacation.

I would think President Trump realizes (1) his style won't work, and even his darlin' daughter is out of control and (2) there's a coup going on and having a General in the WH is a real good idea. Add to that, he can't trust the advice of a lot of folks he's listening to. Verbally attack AG Sessions? That might be the one thing that could alienate a lot of Deplorables. It was wrong, and President Trump should've realized that.

So it's time for discipline. It would've been pleasing if this vacation had been used for boot camp for anyone involved with the WH. Like I started this with, President Trump is no fool. His only chance to turn this around is Kelley insisting on military-level discipline. I think it's working already.

(thinking as I type....)

..........I get Trump tweets about a half dozen to a dozen a day. I’ve seen zero reduction in his tweets.

Yes, Kelly telling the entire staff that their country comes above the president they are working for makes me nervous.

I fear the deep state will try to isolate Trump and prevent him from hearing from loyalists. It’s bad form, imho,
for one man to be the gatekeeper to the king; it gives too much power into the hands of whoever holds that office.

This is DC, where the swampthings have even less essential goodness than the flawed contestants on The Apprentice.

Where getting ahead and working hard means some cute young thing (male or female) studying public policy at Georgetown so you can join a Congressional staff and work your way up to a top level policy job.

Career paths to the "top" here have nothing to do with talent, hard work, and learning the ropes of your profession. That's for the staff we bring in to do the work, not the "leadership."

So agreed. And we know enough of Kelly IMO—his gushing about Jeh Johnson, his neocon alliance with Mattis and McMaster, and the pure evil of McMaster to make him a horrid choice as CoS.

That Trump named him such six months in to his admin shows that he still is, unfortunately, all too clueless about the palace coup in process.

Trump is letting Kelly reword them.

Also ominous and believable is the tweet today from Roger Stone saying that Trump neither saw nor approved the statement of support that was released re: McMaster.
