Normally it wouldnt make news when a president touts the work of a cabinet member. As the old song goes, thats the way I always heard it should be.
But in the Trump administration, dog bites man can easily become man bites dog. Thus, its news that President Trump is praising Attorney General Sessions for cracking down on illegal leaks of classified information.
Writing on (where else) Twitter, Trump declared: After many years of LEAKS going on in Washington, it is great to see the A.G. taking action! For National Security, the tougher the better!
Pray for our great president!
It could also be viewed as damning him with faint praise meaning “About Time!”
Sometimes you just have to build a fire under an old boys arse just to get his attention.
Sessions would earn more respect un-recusing himself to fire mueller.
Now that he has convened a grand jury he has an ethical duty to the citizens of the United States to disclose any criminal accusation of the President that he is pursuing.
As I suspected. President Trump was taking the political heat for Sessions. The public push put all the heat on Trump and not on Sessions. Keeps Sessions clean. Smart move.
Trump’s criticism of Sessions’ disastrous and unnecessary recusal sent him a message to get more aggressive.
I think far better than firing would be to set strict guidelines and a firm time limit on Mueller. He should be confined to the Russia issue with no ability to wander to other areas and given 1 month to conclude. He must immediately release any information at least to the AG. Firing gives too much chaos for libs.
Or everything we have been fed about lazy, good for nuthin Sessions is Yuge steaming pile of excrement.
You don't get carte blanche like that in D.C.
That Linda figured out how had he had been was evident when he tried to introduce unconstitutional legislation to prevent the firing of Mueller.
You said it!
Trump should fire Mueller and take the heat for a week or two vs the crap he and his family are going to endure for months-years.
