Members of the Vice President’s staff are pushing back against rumors that Pence’s team is working on a 2020 shadow campaign as suggested in a Saturday New York Times story.
The Times claims that newly installed Vice President Mike Pence’s Chief of Staff Nick Ayers has “signaled” to donors a potential Pence 2020 run, a claim that Ayers immediately refuted via Twitter:

Pence doesn’t excite me. Trump would slaughter him in a race. If Pence had run last time, he would have been one of the early ones to drop out. I like him but he’s just not someone I would want for president.
But Drudge headlined it and ignored the Democrat scandals. He can go to hell.

The Trump economy if starting to fire and its just getting started. If Congress would get off their butts and pass some of Trumps ideas you would never see another Democrat majority in your lifetime.
Pence seems too sincere to be subversive. He is a deeply religious man who seems to be an honorable person. I have heard him often on Rush’s show and he is very supportive of Pres. Trump.
I've often thought the same, but if for any reason Pence turns up in the Presidency before his time I will be deeply suspicious of him. There's been a lot of plotting surrounding Pence ascending to the Presidency going back to before Trump even won the election, perhaps he's had no part in it and is completely unaware, but I don't see how that can be the case.
