WASHINGTON (AP) The betting was that law-and-order Attorney General Jeff Sessions would come out against the legalized marijuana industry with guns blazing. But the task force Sessions assembled to find the best legal strategy is giving him no ammunition, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.
The Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety, a group of prosecutors and federal law enforcement officials, has come up with no new policy recommendations to advance the attorney generals aggressively anti-marijuana views. The groups report largely reiterates the current Justice Department policy on marijuana.

There won’t be any abuser of anything.
Will there be some heavenly equivalent to our earthly marijuana, always used under perfect control? I don’t think any of us have a right to inveigh about that. Heaven puts everything into the next dimension. There will be surprises.
I think you are showing post-pot-abuse brain syndrome here.
I 100% support Sessions going against illegal weed, but am also equally opposed to him going against legal weed. You’re right that there hasn’t yet been a lot of evidence that legal weed has killed gangs (I have heard that gangs have switched to other drugs, particularly meth and heroin), but there are a million good reasons to try to drive a wedge between legal and illegal weed even besides gangs.
Alcohol can lead people to commit suicide also. And overeating . And women. What’s your point?
What had been casual, and not led on its own to a lot of criminal misconduct, became caught up in gangland activity.
Shadows have a way of doing that, and sunlight has a way of driving it away.
Also, shadow-think can’t cogitate cogently about sunlight-think. It has to be willing to shift perspectives.
Well, sometimes I do wonder.
That said, after my brain was fried, I was first in my class in grad school (mostly mathematical modeling) and, using that resume, landed a job on Wall St in which I was eventually promoted to SVP...head of a group that generated the most profit for my firm (over 10% of the bottom line) for 5 years.
But back to the original subject...yes my brain is fried. And the world has gone crazy...
Smoke that weed, Big Daddy...smoke that weed.
Isn't that your stated and re-stated to ad-nauseum basis for your anecdotal proclamations on the dangers of pot? I didn't pull that out of thin air to smear you with. In fact I said it in concession to your point.
It’s really funny the things that have sent people over the edge of sanity.
The famous composer and pianist Franz Liszt was reported to have inspired a social condition by his masterful music performances that was called “Lisztomania.” Crowds swooned over him. And this was just a piano player. Preposterous, impossible, people may say? Well, study the history. But I don’t know where anyone tried to ban Franz Liszt from playing, or banned his music which we still have today and which still requires virtuosos to play most of. (And watching some of it being hammered out on a piano can truly be an “Oh my God” experience, compared with beholding what usually gets played on a piano.)
Anyhow, there have always been madnesses and excesses in society. What do we do about them? The sane society looks to God to avoid being pulled off balance. The insane society tries to ban the thing being abused for the craze.
People can be high functioning whatever kind of weak thing.
You are so defensive about it?
Things like eating donuts and drinking coffee . . .
Some people are just defensive for reason and logic.
It’s actually a good thing for the pro-legal weed people that a skeptic like Sessions is in a position to report on the effects of legalization.
Imagine the ‘respect’ that would be given to the judgment of some dopey Democrat.
Perhaps you will enlighten us with your wisdom.
Are you a smoker TE?
It is also astounding that you are again asking me that question. Is your reading comprehension so dismal from smoking pot that you missed several replies that answered it?
“He who has an ear, let him hear.”
It looks more like you’re endarkening us with your foolishness. Or trying to.
“There is a certain kind of bad man who cannot give up a thing without wanting everybody else to give it up too.” — C. S. Lewis
Or sorely frustrated that none can be found though the search has been high and low! ;-)
If you wish to live in a theocracy go right ahead. The founders had other ideas...
Very fresh original convincing argumentation there. :)
Sorry TE. My reading comprehension must be dismal. I have not spent my limited brain power on your illuminating replies.
