WASHINGTON (AP) — The betting was that law-and-order Attorney General Jeff Sessions would come out against the legalized marijuana industry with guns blazing. But the task force Sessions assembled to find the best legal strategy is giving him no ammunition, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

The Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety, a group of prosecutors and federal law enforcement officials, has come up with no new policy recommendations to advance the attorney general’s aggressively anti-marijuana views. The group’s report largely reiterates the current Justice Department policy on marijuana.

I am far from a Pot advocate but this is pathetic. I can name ten others items far more important for the top law enforcement official in the country.

I’m talking about what fools and idiots are criticizing Sessions for fighting.

We’ll see how legalization goes.
Haven’t heard any good news about gangs disappearing in legal states. Of course that won’t happen overnight. But it should happen to a noticeable extent.

Weak-minded people?

Like alcoholics and heroin addicts and coke heads.

All those weak-minded people. People addicted to pain-killers.

But hey...what about those weak-minded people who are depressed.

Let's kill them all, eh?

There are people who are flirting with danger to touch alcohol. Most people of American Indian ancestry are such.

But if one is sane, it only takes one experience of getting wiped out, by what doesn’t wipe out a lot of other people, to say “no more.” I had a buddy who had acid. Once. He said no more after it sent him to Pluto for two days. But he doesn’t go screaming at other people about acid either. He does call to people most earnestly about coming to the Lord.

As the Lord inspired Solomon to say. “Feed me with food that is suitable for me.”

Let’s bring the weak to the Lord. Weakness is prima facie evidence of needing a Strength.

Maybe I’m wrong about the damage pot can do. Your logic sounds like Algore or Alex Jones on crack. I’ve finally met someone that pot did in.

Humans seek to alter their consciousness with substances. That will never change and never has not been a part of human existence. Minimizing it truly is fine, but too much energy spent on stopping it is a total waste.

We are all weaker than we know...and need to come to the Lord.

So Amen.

“Whoo, this killed me” isn’t the same as “whoo, this is going to kill everybody.”

A robust spiritual background is a lot of what it takes to resist going head over heels for intoxicants. If I have a great spiritual game going, why should I want to knock it all to hell with this thing that just ate my brain for a day? If in fact it did.

I despise rubber-roomism. People are never going to learn to cope with life if over-sheltered by nannies.

I know that culture well. It has killed several of my childhood friends.

Oxycodone will do the same...just wait.

The desire to control people is one of the most seductive and destructive addictions of all and it’s not even a substance.

You have demonstrated you are the ultimate ‘straw man’ and have absolutely no clue what God said.

At last, a sane perspective upon which we meet.

The bible isn’t keen for rubber-roomism.

At the same time it talks brownly about getting clobbered by whatever will clobber you. That isn’t the same for person A, as for person B. Early American society used to be a lot more sane about this. It was pretty libertarian about what you used, but you were expected not to be profligate in public, and not to let it turn you into a gratuitous drain on society either.

The answer to a burgeoning substance abuse problem isn’t, in fact, the banning legislator. It is the Lord who bestows wisdom on all persons. I don’t have to use this thing that will clobber me just because everybody else seems to be using it without problems. Especially since the Lord has bestowed some special gifts on me that others don’t have. That’s learning grateful humility.

In the 47 years since I first smoked pot you’re the first one I’ve ever known that claims it does such damage or was addicted to it. It must be bad if it causes you to compare it with Oxycodone. Your brain is fried.

You did say that pot was the only drug you have used right? Right?

The desire to control people is one of the most seductive and destructive addictions of all and it’s not even a substance.

It has been my experience that 'control freaks' are users of some form of substance... the narcissist mind is one that is addicted to manipulation and control of somebody else, because they cannot control themselves. Potters are no different than any other users... they cannot control themselves thus they attempt to control others around them...

Shouldn’t that then encourage caution to “ex-whatever abusers”? Because they too may be overly zealous and preach hellfire to people that aren’t even near to hellfire.

Kicking the pot is only step 1 for the “pothead” — the abuser.

Kicking the mindset that led to using the pot is what must follow. Or some other addiction will follow. An addiction to nanniness is one of them.

There will be NO dopers in the eternity... God said so... too bad you did NOT read what He declared... It does not matter a devil's promise what YOU say, it is what God already declared and obviously you are clueless about what God said would be. A big 'red' clue would be that Soros has funded these states to go to pot... wonder why?

Relax. No one is romanticizing it. Some of us just think it’s ridiculous to put people in jail for smoking marijuana. Of course, if you are in favor of a big police state, well that’s your call
