Yes - the parents were enabling the child’s obsession, the parents, not the school, are the true abusers.
The parents or their advocates used the term for what the child thinks of their gender as “inner sense of themselves”.
There is no known scientific basis for the brain to have developed a gender different than its body. A mental impression is derived from thoughts and emotions, not anything driven by who we physically are. Something has happened, or been allowed to happen, for the child to even conceive they are not who & what their body is. An obsession has subtly crept in. And yes, the mind is capable of lying to us.
The school was trying to do the right thing - help the child out of their obsession. The parents have consigned the child to a lifetime of hormonal and physical attacks on their body to force their body to agree with their obsession. That is a lifetime of abuse they will put their body through, to satisfy an obsession. The parents are abusing a child that could still be helped.
