Disgusting waste of time, this press conference.
It was a big nothing. I have no doubt that they are doing some investigations, and that there will be some fall guys who are prosecuted as a big show. But it is clear that the deep state is still in control of it, and that Sessions is overmatched.

This might have some promise. It says that DOJ is looking into subpoenaing reporters who receive the classified material. Now, imagine what could be done here. Subpoena every single reporter who has printed illegal leaks over the past 7 months. There are probably several hundred. All of them, to a person, will refuse to testify over a non-existent reporter privilege. They are all in fact conspirators to espionage and to a scheme to subvert the constitution.
But be that as it may, even if they aren’t prosecuted themselves, they are required to testify about people who did the leaking. And when they don’t, what happens? They all go to jail for contempt. Imagine. Half the staff of the Wapo and NYT in jail for months and months. No computer access, limited visitation. That would be like a vacation.

I watched it & kept thinking, “this is a huge nothing-burger!”
Reminded me of teachers telling 6th graders they better stop writing graffiti on the bathroom walls & the kids know they aren’t going to stop because nothing will actually happen to them.
